The Detroit Lions rid themselves of Shaun Rodgers.
Shaun is a former All Star, what gives?
Shaun was a player that could seemingly do anything from defensive tackle spot, except play all the time. He only played when he wanted to and that frustrated Coach Rod Marinelli, so the Lions got rid of him.
Will Shaun shed his bulk and be an All Star at Cleveland? Doubtful, but let’s wish him the best.

Jon Kitna is at it again. He is calling for 10 victories, but for a different reason.
No, Jon is not crazy. Well, maybe a little, he did agree to play for the Detroit Lions. Nobody made him do it.
This year Jon is calling for 10 victories, because that would mean they are in the playoffs and that would mean they are more than competitive. That would mean a very successful season for the team.
Just as he did last off-season — and again earlier this year — Kitna …read more

Actually, credit for the above title goes to my friend and sometimes devoted Lions fan, RonB.
RonB is an expert on the Lions, so he knows why the Browns stink.
His actual title was Reason #106 why Cleveland hasn’t had a winning team since the Lions had a winning team. Now that is not altogether true, because Cleveland had a pretty good year last year, but then they have nothing to show for it.
Oh, and reason #106 is extending Shaun Rodgers contract. They should have just increased the training table budget.

No, no, no.
Roy Williams is going nowhere.
Wait a minute that would be the Detroit Lions are going nowhere.
The Dallas Cowboys would love to trade for Roy Williams, but Coach Rod Marinelli says he is not on the trading block.
“I’m like the dad sitting at the doorway,” Marinelli continued. “Nobody’s dating my daughter. Nobody’s coming in. Just no. He looks fabulous right now. He’s in that position for having a tremendous year, I think. So, just no.”
Is there anything that could change the Lions’ mind? The Cowboys have two first-round picks. What …read more

The Detroit Lions.
Does anymore need to be said?
Last year Jon Kitna predicted 10 victories. We laughed.
When asked about the prediction, Jon admitted that they may win more. We laughed harder. Who needed the comedy channel?
This year Jon predicts, you got it, 10 victories. Do you laugh or order the straight jacket?
“Last year was not a prediction, it was a statement of fact …read more
