Clorox Partners With Sierra Club on Marketing ‘Green Works’ Natural Cleaners

Clorox announced yesterday that they have joined forces with the Sierra Club in marketing their new natural cleaning product line Green Works. Green Works labels will boast the Sierra Club logo and pay a fee to the non-profit.
Green Works will start appearing on store shelves throughout the country this month and the Sierra Club logo will start appearing on Green Works near Earth Day (April 22) this year.
The Green Works products will include: an all-purpose cleaner, a glass cleaner, a toilet bowl cleaner, a dilutable cleaner, and a bathroom cleaner. All are at least 99 percent natural made from …read more

Record Cleanup Order Ends AEP Lawsuit

A lineup of plaintiffs that included the states of Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, a dozen environmental groups including the Sierra Club and the Environmental Protection Agency have achieved a legal win against American Electric Power that is the “single largest environmental enforcement settlement in history”, according to MSNBC.

Judge to Hawaii Superferry: Prove it

Ah, Hawaii. Pristine beaches, aloha spirit, worldclass sunsets – it doesn’t get much better. In order to see that it stays that way, a judge has ruled that Hawaii Superferry’s $85 million 350-foot giant catamaran will not operate until the company proves that the ship doesn’t pose a threat to the environment.
