Using Snagit’s Auto-Email Features

I expanded my knowledge and use of Snagit this weekend as I was helping someone else try to figure out a solution to one of their own computer problems. Did you know that Snagit has the ability to automatically send your screen capture to a specified email address?

Let’s say you want to automatically email some screen captures to a friend in a series of steps or events. You can specify all your basic email settings to be pre-populated in your default email program.

Exporting PowerPoint Slidedecks to Image Files

I was sitting in a conference today and the speaker was talking about a new presentation tool he was using called Prezi. In his presentation he talked about grabbing screen shots of PowerPoint presentations to then use in Prezi.

I immediately wondered if he or if it was known by everyone else that you can save any PowerPoint slide or entire slide deck as an image file.
Depending on what you’d need to use an image of a slide for, PowerPoint provides the ability to save it in just about any format you’d like or need.

My Favorite Graphics Programs

I’ve been working with a friend lately trying to find an affordable copy of Adobe Photoshop to be used in coordination with a non-profit’s efforts to do some graphic work. In this case the very talented person would be doing some work for both a church and another faith-based organization associated with a large state university. I will admit that if you’re doing serious, professional quality graphic design, you’re probably going to be using Adobe Photoshop.
