First Christopher Walken had a take on her, now Eric Cartman?  It seems everyone wants a piece of the Lady Gaga pie… or cannoli.  Am I the only person left in the world who is not a fan?

But now that South Park has come around and jumped on top of her disco stick, so maybe it’s time I reconsidered my position on this girl.  Er… person.  But, come on.  Anyone who dresses like this should not be taken seriously!  I  know I’m right!

South Park Does Lady Gaga

Yes, it it offensive and controversial but it’s also well-written, intelligent and thought-provoking. 

In the film, the parents of South Park decide to wage war on Canada because they believe that the country is causing their children to use bad language.  It all gets started after the kids go to see the Terrence and Philip movie and come back saying some very bad words. 

Everything gets blown out of proportion, Cartman ends up with a chip in his brain, Satan and Saddam Hussein plot to take over Earth and, of course, Kenny dies trying to stop the grown-ups from acting like idiots.

The musical numbers are incredibly memorable in this movie.  I swear I sing songs like “Blame Canada,” “Kyle’s Mom is a Bitch” and “What Would Brian Boitano Do?” all the time.

“South Park” Movie Now on Blu-ray

Jimmy (and Cartman, I guess) come up with a joke and it causes all sorts of trouble.  The joke teller asks someone “do you like fish sticks?”  The person then says “yes” and is then immediately told “then you’re a gay fish.”  Fish sticks sounds like “fish d*cks” so if you like them (and admit to enjoying having them in your mouth), then you are a fish who is gay.  Get it?

If you don’t understand the joke, you’re not alone since the cartoon version of Kanye West didn’t particularly enjoy being called a “gay fish” and subsequently went on a rampage.  The whole episode was hilarious and I don’t want to ruin it by telling you too much but if you want to see it, visit the Comedy Network website!

Fortunately, the real-life Kanye found a way to find humor in the situation.  Here’s what he wrote on his blog:

SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER.  Read the rest of the entry.

He also said that he was at the Cheesecake Factory over the weekend and the manager brought him a plate of fish sticks.  Wow…

South Park Takes on Kanye West

By accessing Netflix.com using your computer or by using Netflix-ready devices on your TV, you can watch shows like South Park (the first nine seasons are already available!), iCarly and SpongeBob SquarePants whenever you like.

This is a great service for many reasons but, as a parent, it’s nice to know that if my daughter wants to see an episode of Dora the Explorer, I can simply turn it on (which could make keeping her occupied as I cook dinner a lot easier when she doesn’t feel like coloring).  I can see parents with sick kids at home loving this too.

Of course, even if you aren’t a parent, being able to find and watch a specific episode of South Park at any time is great.  This is just another way that Netflix is revolutionizing the way we watch television and movies.
