1. St. Louis Rams
The Rams are just horrible. Their defense showed some signs of improvement early on but they’ve regressed in recent weeks. Their offense? It’s offensive.

2. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders don’t have a horrible defense but their offense is so bad that they earn this spot in the NFL power rankings. JaMarcus Russell has been putrid and makes it almost impossible for Oakland to win.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When it comes to the offensive side of the field, the Bucs have decent talent. But add in poor coaching, poor chemistry and a bad defense and this team is embarrassing.

Antonio Bryant and the Bucs haven't won a game (Image: Zuma Press)

4. Cleveland Browns
Even though the Browns pulled out an ugly win last week, they are still a very bad team. Don’t expect this team to win more than a handful of contests all year.

5. Detroit Lions
A year after not winning a game, the Lions are still bad. But compared to last year, there are definite signs of improvement.

6. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs don’t have much talent — and it shows on the field. Their rebuilding project is immense.

7. Tennessee Titans
A year after making the playoffs, the Titans are 0-5. Their team isn’t horrible but their defense has been exposed and their offense is much less explosive.

8. Carolina Panthers
This Panthers squad could still possibly turn it around but it needs its star players to play better.

9. Buffalo Bills
Why is this team so bad? They have very good talent offensively. Their defense can play. But for whatever reason, they can’t put it together.

10. Washington Redskins
The only reason the Redskins are 2-3 is because they’ve had a very easy schedule. Once their schedule toughens up, expect the losses to mount.

3. Kansas City Chiefs
It’s difficult to find any bright spot on this team. A lot of solid pieces but the strengths are minimal.

2. St. Louis Rams
The offense will likely struggle and the defense isn’t that good. They have to hope for a big year from their offensive line to compete.

1. Detroit Lions
After going 0-16 last season, the Lions need to show they aren’t historically bad before they rise out of last.

Said Glover in a press release announcing his retirement: “I’m blessed that I was able to play this game that I love for so long. It has been such an incredible journey. The players, coaches, and front office staff in the cities I’ve played have all given me so many great memories. I still love the game with the same passion I had as a young player in high school, so I plan to always be attached to it in some way, whether commentating, working in the front office, or scouting. But who knows what opportunities await in the next chapter of my life.”

An extremely durable player, Glover hasn’t missed a game since the 1997 season. In his 193 career games, he had 547 tackles, 83.5 sacks and 16 forced fumbles. The best year of his career was in 2000 with the New Orleans Saints when he had 17 sacks, 65 tackles and three forced fumbles.

Besides the Rams and the Saints, Glover also played with the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders.

What are the top destinations for Michael Vick? Here is our top five:
1) San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers need a quarterback and head coach Mike Singletary should be able to handle the Vick distractions.
2) Seattle Seahawks
Matt Hasselbeck isn’t getting any younger and Vick could take his time in getting ready to return to the field.

3) St. Louis Rams
The Rams seem to be going nowhere. Marc Bulger is seemingly always hurt and Vick would be able to add some excitement in St. Louis.

4) Dallas Cowboys
If there’s a big name available, the Cowboys have to be in the conversation. Vick could be a suitable insurance policy in case Tony Romo gets hurt or folds under pressure.

5) New England Patriots
Bill Belichick loves multi-purpose players. If Vick wants to return as a utility-type role, he could find room on the Patriots as a running back, wide receiver, returner and possible some snaps at QB.

In 2008, Leonard only played in two games and had two carries for seven yards. No longer in the Rams’ long-term plans, Leonard has reportedly been shopped for much of the offseason.

Considering that the Bengals are in need of depth at both fullback and running back, he should be a good fit in Cincinnati. He could become a safety valve for quarterback Carson Palmer due to his pass catching skills out of the backfield.

Harris is a 25-year-old defensive tackle who played in 14 games for the Bengals in 2008. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder was born in Jamaica.

#2 2009 Draft Pick – Jason Smith, Tackle, Baylor to the St. Louis Rams

He’s great at what he does, and he really has the potential to be a 10-year starter for the Rams. Of course, it means that they still have a “meh” quarterback. They have a LOT of money invested in Mark Bulger, though – and he’s the happiest guy in the room right now, I guarantee it. Actually, with some strong offensive players protecting him, Bulger might be able to stand out more. And if he doesn’t? The quarterback talent next year will be crazy and the Rams will have a top pick again, so they’ll be able to take someone awesome.

I like Jason Smith to the Rams. How about you?

Here are other draft picks:

Holt’s contract has a completely guaranteed first year, however he won’t receive a signing bonus. Of the $20 million, approximately $7 million is based on incentives.

There’s a great chance that Holt emerges as Jacksonville’s number one wide receiver in 2009. He didn’t play well for the St. Louis Rams last season but he also had a few injury concerns that could be blamed. Plus, with the Rams below average offensive line, it’s difficult to put too much blame on any skill player.

Jacksonville has had good teams over the years but they haven’t been able to replace Jimmy Smith since the wide receiver retired. If Holt can replace Smith, the Jags could emerge as a surprise Super Bowl contender in 2009.

The Jaguars desperately need a wide receiver and Holt would be a very good option. The 32-year-old out of North Carolina State is coming off the worst statistical season of his career but he’s been one of the most productive wide receiver in his ten-year career.

In Jacksonville, Holt would help replace Matt Jones, Jerry Porter and Reggie Williams. All three of those wide receivers were let go by the Jaguars during the offseason.

The St. Louis Rams have been searching for a backup quarterback. This weekend, they were able to sign Kyle Boller, previously of the Baltimore Ravens. The Rams had previously been trying to sign Gus Frerotte to be Marc Bulger’s backup.

With the Ravens going on to the playoff last year under rookie quarterback Joe Flacco, Boller’s day in Baltimore were done. In St. Louis, there’s a good chance Boller will eventually get a chance to play. Bulger is 32-years-old and has been injury prone in recent years. Only once in his career has he been able to play in all 16 games. Additionally, Bulger has been disappointing in both of the previous two years and will be under fire if he starts off slowly in the 2009 NFL season.

The contract Pace signed with the Bears is reportedly for three years. The final two teams that he was considering were the Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles. He apparently decided to go with the Bears after word came out that Chicago had landed the coveted quarterback.

Pace was once regarded as one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL. In recent years, Pace has been slowed with a number of injuries. The Bears will hope that the 33-year-old former first overall draft pick will be able to overcome the injuries that have hampered him as of late.

Pace had played for the St. Louis Rams since attending the Ohio State. During his time in St. Louis, he won a Super Bowl ring and appeared in a second Super Bowl.

Here’s an Orlando Pace video of him on the Ohio State Buckeyes:
