Weekly Feature: Drinking Stories

This story is a good example of the adage, “Everything in Moderation”. Luckily, no one was hurt…except maybe their ears.
On to the story:
When Scott and I lived in St. Thomas (yes, the Virgin Islands. Jealous much?), we were regular weekend features at Iggie’s Beach Bar. Conveniently located at the bottom of the cliff we lived on, it was walking distance from home; it also served the best portabella mushroom fries on the planet and had karaoke every Saturday night. Another MWC crushing
Lawrence knocked off a ranked opponent for the second time in four days, as the Vikings went to St. Norbert and beat the No. 11 Green Knights, 75-52.
Lawrence had won 94-67 at then-No. 24 Carroll on Saturday. Carroll was playing without its best player, John Hoch, who was averaging 24 points per game.
Tuesday night’s win ended St. Norbert’s 15-game winning streak, a run which included an upset of then-No. 1 UW-Platteville. Tuesday night’s men’s scores.

Here’s the latest news and notes from d3hoops.com.
No. 1 has two new faces
St. Thomas and Illinois Wesleyan have taken over as the new No. 1 teams in the D3hoops.com Top 25. It’s the first time for either school at the top of the poll in its 10-year history.
The Tommies, who are the only undefeated team in Division III men’s basketball, received 18 of 25 voters’ first-place votes. Defending national champion Washington U., which defeated then-No. 18 Carnegie Mellon 90-70 on the road on Sunday afternoon, got the other seven. The full poll.
