When Scott and I lived in St. Thomas (yes, the Virgin Islands. Jealous much?), we were regular weekend features at Iggie’s Beach Bar. Lawrence knocked off a ranked opponent for the second time in four days, as the Vikings went to St. Norbert and beat the No. 11 Green Knights, 75-52.
Lawrence had won 94-67 at then-No. 24 Carroll on Saturday. Carroll was playing without its best player, John Hoch, who was averaging 24 points per game.
Tuesday night’s win ended St. Norbert’s 15-game winning streak, a run which included an upset of then-No. 1 UW-Platteville. Tuesday night’s men’s scores.

No. 1 has two new faces
St. Thomas and Illinois Wesleyan have taken over as the new No. 1 teams in the D3hoops.com Top 25. It’s the first time for either school at the top of the poll in its 10-year history.
The Tommies, who are the only undefeated team in Division III men’s basketball, received 18 of 25 voters’ first-place votes. Defending national champion Washington U., which defeated then-No. 18 Carnegie Mellon 90-70 on the road on Sunday afternoon, got the other seven. The full poll.
