Another steroid scandal rocking not only Major League Baseball…but my beloved New York Yankees. This time it’s Alex Rodriguez in the news in the past couple of weeks. So he used performance enhancing drugs and has admitted to it. How much of the truth is he telling and how much more do they want to know. I think he did the right thing by saying “Yes, I did.”. Perhaps he learned a thing or two from Clemens. He’s till not out of hot water yet. How much more is there to know and what, if any, punishment should he …read more
Celebrity Enhancing Drugs | Is There A Double Standard?

With all the steroid allegations in sports, it’s not often enough that celebrities are asked or tested for performance enhancing drugs. What performance would celebrities be enhancing? Does it matter? If you want to be critical of athletes enhancing their bodies to do their jobs then why can’t we be critical of celebrities? Because they are not competing? They are sometimes competing for a role in a movie or television show, right? If their physical appearance gives them an advantage because they look more fit and eye appealing to the audience, is that not performance enhancing? If it makes …read more
Growth Hormones: Where Do WE Draw The Line?

It seems everyone wants to stay young, or at least look young. I can’t say that I blame them, but I feel that at some point you need to just live with the natural course of aging and realize that it’s a part of life. Between plastic surgery and botox, people have themselves pumped full of pig toxins and cut to shreds in the name of vanity. It’s rather pathetic when you’re 60 years old and you’re trying to look 23 again.
Enter Humane Growth Hormone, or HGH. People are getting HGH therapy to curb the natural cycle of human aging. …read more

You know those ads you see in Muscle & Fitness or Men’s Health magazine. Normally for the new age fat burning complex. You have a before and after picture of some dude that’s big but still has some body fat on him. Or some dude that is just totally out of shape, but in their after picture they are either shredded or in a lot better shape than their before picture. What if I told you that their statements of “I got ripped in 6 weeks!” might be a lie. What if you found out that some of those before …read more

For most of us back to school time has already come. For some though it has only begun recently. In this post I have a few links that are more geared toward older school kids. Teens and seniors to be exact.
Up until my sophomore year in high school vending machines were non-existent in my school.
Teen Anti-Steroid Use Campaign Don’t Be An Asterisk

You hear about it all the time. Teens using steroids to get that one up on their opponent on the playing field, the wrestling mat, the swimming pool, etc. It’s rather disturbing how easily it is for kids to get steroids and what’s even more disturbing is that they are so eager to take them with no regards for the side effects. I can understand that kids are competitive in everything they do, especially during high school years. It’s all about the NOW. Get big, play hard, get the girls, get a sports scholarship, whatever. Perhaps their P.E. teachers and …read more

The use of steroids and performance enhancing drugs, thereof is nothing new. We know for a fact when someone is using and you would have to be stupid to think that most professional bodybuilders have not used at one point or another in their life. From bicyclists to baseball players, everyone is trying to get ahead of the next guy to be bigger, better and outlast the norm.
So how can you tell if someone is actually using steroids or not without testing? According to this article you may almost be able to tell just by looking at them. You …read more
Not Looking So Good For The Rocket

With every day passing things aren’t looking all that good for Roger Clemens. With new “evidence” coming out of the wood work and Andy Pettitte Talking, Roger is either totally innocent or is going to look extremely foolish in hand cuffs if he gets carted off for perjury.
Either way, his name is tainted. So if he gets out of this clean I think he should be smart enough to hang up his hat. Andy Pettitte did the smart thing by admitting to using HGH right off the bat. Denial can only get you so far. Truth be told…someone is …read more
Roger Clemens- Innocent or Guilty?

Once again with this huge controversy in the MLB about HGH and steroids, Roger Clemens is in the spotlight still over steroid use. Andy Pettite admitted to using HGH (Human Growth Hormone) but Roger Clemens is stilling sticking to his guns and saying that he has not used. He said he has taken injections but not containing steroids. These days I don’t know who to believe. As a Yankees fan I would like to believe him and that he’s not lying. There are a million people out there calling him a liar (Mostly Red Sox Fans) screaming that his …read more
