I went into the gym with a renewed sense of purpose today and my performance level was great in terms of gaining back the strength and endurance that will be rightfully mine once again. I think this workout will be a turning point in my uphill climb to exceed my peak performances of years ago. I somehow tapped into a long lost source of relentless energy and aggression that had me churning out reps at an incredible rate.
I got to the gym about 30 minutes earlier than I usually do, but I lasted the whole way through at a high …read more

If there’s an expert about whether or not someone deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, it is definitely Pete Rose. The former baseball superstar who was banned from the sport for betting on games is not eligible to be in the Hall of Fame. However, when questioned recently on “The Dan Patrick Show”, Rose says that he believes that Alex Rodriguez deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

I’m fully recovered now and will be in for a morning workout tomorrow. With no workout to speak of, today the spot light turns to steroids – the hot button issue of the last 7 years. Before I get into how to spot a juicer, can you believe the amount of time and resources our Congress wasted on this issue? You think it helps the youth? How many deaths were attributed to steroids in the last year? How many deaths were caused by drug use, DWI, gangs, etc.? But that debate is assuming Congress had some virtuous objecting, the truth …read more
Stiffer Penalties For Failed Drug Tests

There has been quite a string of failed drug tests in the past year in MMA. Chris Leben was suspended and fined last year after tests showed illegal steroids in his drug test after his loss to Michael Bisping and Karo Parisyan was also found to have painkillers in his system at UFC 94. Most recently MMA and UFC veteran Ken Shamrock tested positive for three different types of steroids after his win over Ross Clifton and was suspended by the California State Athletics commission.
Despite knowing of consequences of use of banned substances, fighters are still coming up dirty and …read more
