With the best record in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns are rising out of the West. After all, nobody expected them to be 8-1 at the beginning of the season. But the Suns, with a little help from All-Star Steve Nash, are proving everyone wrong.
Tonight, they’ll have a chance to see just how good they really are when they play the defending NBA Champions. The Los Angeles Lakers are currently 6-1, and they are on a mission to repeat.
“When you’re playing the world champs, it’s always a great measuring stick,” said Nash, according to ESPN.com. “Now we go to LA …read more
Looks Like Nash Made The Right Decision

Steve Nash came under scrutiny in the off-season when he re-signed with the floundering Phoenix Suns. The two-time NBA MVP figured that he owed the Suns that much. He was with them when they were up, why wouldn’t he stick with them when they were down?
“I was a free agent and it was natural to explore my options,” Nash said, according to ESPN.com. “Some people said I was a little crazy going back to Phoenix because I wouldn’t have as good a chance to win. I liked the team and coaches and I was comfortable.”
From the outset, it looks like …read more

The Phoenix Suns were undefeated headed into Wednesday night’s game against the Orlando Magic. Follow the contest, the Suns had their first L of the season. The Magic were led by their two bigmen — Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson.
Howard had 25 points and six rebounds in only 23 minutes as he battled foul trouble. Anderson, who is starting at power forward while Rashard Lewis serves a suspension, had 20 points and ten rebounds. The second-year bigman was acquired in the trade during the offseason that sent Vince Carter from the New Jersey Nets to the Magic.

Prior to the start of the 2009-10, let’s take a look at the best point guards in the NBA. While the league is filled with a lot of talent at the position, these point guards are the best of the best in the NBA.
5. Chauncey Billups, Denver Nuggets
When it comes to leadership and leading by example, Chauncey Billups might be the best point guard in the NBA. He knows how to win and uses his strength to dominate the action.
4. Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns
Although he’s getting older, Steve Nash is still a handful. He’s a deadly shooter who is one …read more

Has The Sun Finally Set for Steve Nash?

Steve Nash’s time with the Phoenix Suns may be up. As one analyst puts it, the sun may be setting on Nash’s storied career in Phoenix. This doesn’t mean that Nash will be done playing basketball for good. Though he’s been in the league for 13 seasons, I fully believe he’s got two maybe three more seasons in him — back problems and all. The guy can still play, and he proved that this season, even as his team began to crumble around him.
First, his new coach Terry Porter was fired. Then his best friend, Raja Bell, gets traded. THEN, …read more
Rockets vs Suns Fight Video

In case you missed the Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns game, there was a whole lot of pushing and shoving going on. On a screen, Phoenix’ Matt Barnes pushes (elbows?) Rafer Alston, who isn’t pleased about it, to start the whole thing. Steve Nash then pushes Rafer and then everyone gets involved – including Shaq pushing TMac to the ground.
I’m sure some kind of fines/suspensions will be forthcoming …
NBA Ads *Synchronized Blink* Haunt My Dreams *Synchronized Blink*

This weekend, the wildly anticipated NBA playoffs began. And while there were some great games, for me, the lasting image is half-Kobe-half-Shaq lecturing me on fear. Though the commercials have been around for a while now, they’ve received heavy rotation during the playoffs. I actually thought the commercials were pretty neat, if a bit unsettling. I was especially impressed how they managed to sync up the speech from each player to create an odd stereo effect. I was noting this when my friend brought their eyes to my attention. They blink at the same time! Ahhhhhh! Don’t believe me, …read more
