I’m sitting outside right now as I type this and my feet are cold and that tells me one thing…OK…two things. #1 My feet are cold and #2 that Summer is officially transitioning into Fall.
So, for one last Summer drink, I thought that I’d give you the recipe for a classic daiquiri. Trust me. It’s not what you think it is.
A classic daiquiri isn’t colored and it’s not slushy and it’s not super sweet. A classic daiquiri resembles a mojito [kinda] more than it resembles what you’re thinking of when you think “daiquiri”.

It’s summertime and Summer means baseball.
What better thing to enjoy while watching America’s Pastime than something called the Grand Slam?
The Grand Slam
Ingredients:

1 oz Gibson’s Finest Canadian Whisky
3 oz ginger ale
Dash of bitters

Directions:
Build ingredients over ice in a rocks glass.
Garnish with slice of lime.

Running or Protein Shake After Weights?

This is a dilemma that I still don’t know the “official” answer to.  After a weight lifting session, I usually opt for protein immediately but I have gone back to cardio enough to make these choices go head to head in my brain.
On one hand you have your protein shake which immediately gets your bulging muscles the nutrients they need to begin growth and repair.  On the other hand, cardio is an essential part of your workout too and I like to get a healthy amount of cardio in to help burn calories and initiate fat loss.  So what to …read more

It’s the middle of July and the MLB All Star game is a few hours away. After that, the fun begins.
Baseball season gets more interesting. We find out who the contenders or pretenders are. Which category will Tampa Bay be in at the end of the season? Will the Cubs still be the best team in the league?
And then there will be Pre-season football. How much more Brett Favre – Green Bay Packers drama will ESPN hammer into our brains? How many Fantasy brackets will you fill out for the upcoming season?
