Sun Microsystems has recently debuted The Java Store which is a storefront of Java applications. Aside from that, it also includes social software applications and games. They are looking to connect their developers to it’s 800 million desktop users.

Microsoft has already announced their plans on creating a Microsoft app store and now Sun is not going to let Apple and Microsoft build their stores and leave their developers behind.

Anyways, no matter how late Sun is in the game, Java developers welcome this move with open arms. As the saying goes, better late than never.
