Google Calendar Supports iCal

Google Calendar has finally rolled out support for iCal via the CalDAV protocol. iCal users can now sync their calendars with Google Calendar and have an online solution for syncing calendars. This is a great option if you don’t want to pay for Mobile Me.

Plaxo for Mac OSX

Several months ago, I would have had to take really painful steps to backup my address book online without the help of a .Mac account. The goal was to sync my addresses with Plaxo, an efficient online PIM that syncs with almost any offline mail app / PIM tool. One of the limitations was that it didn’t support native OSX appls like Address Book.
