UFC Hall of Fame adds Chuck Liddell

The teensy tiny UFC hall of fame is about to get a little bit bigger: superstar fighter Chuck Liddell and Tapout founder Charles ‘Mask’ Lewis will be inducted this weekend at the UFC Fan Expo. Liddell started his MMA career with the UFC, winning his debut fight against Noe Hernandez at UFC 17 in May of 1998. Five years later he had replaced Tito Ortiz as Dana White’s new best friend and the company’s ace fighter.

TapouT Releases Mask Tribute T-Shirts

Tapout Charles “Mask” Lewis Tribute T-Shirts. Tapout has released new, limited edition Charles “Mask” Lewis Jr. tribute T-shirts. Charles Lewis Jr. Co-founded TapouT MMA clothing line in 1997 that grew in to a behemoth of a company. The Tapout crew love the sport of MMA and have helped many fighters along the way. Mask died in a high-speed car accident on March 11th, 2009. I never knew the guy, but he’ll surely be missed by all MMA fans alike.

Jason Guida has been named as Ken Shamrock’s replacement at March Badness on March 21st. Ken Shamrock was scheduled to fight Bobby Lashley but was recently suspended for popping positive for 3 banned substances by the California State Athletics Commission after his last fight.

L.A. Time Online Charles "Mask" Lewis Crash Report

The LA Times ran a story on the crash the killed Charles “Mask” Lewis, founder of the Tapout MMA clothing line. It also has pictures from the crash site showing that the car (Ferrari 360 Modena) that Mask and his female passenger where riding in when it struck a pole and was split in half. The other driver, Jeffrey David Kirby is still being held on 2 million dollars bail has had prior traffic violations to include a charge of Driving Under The Influence.
