This announcement made me laugh. Not sure why, but probably because I’ve been using Twitter for so long and it’s funny to see the media making such a big deal out of it. What’s the announcement? Jim Courier is going to Twitter during his match against John McEnroe at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. He’s going to give fans an inside look into the match. Boris Becker and His Fiancée Out and About

Tennis legend Boris Becker and his fiancee Sharlely Lilly Kerssenberg were seen out and about in Miami, Florida on April 5th. They had dinner at Casa Tua restaurant and were also seen sipping wine and laughing over lunch. The couple will be tying the know on June 20, 2009.

Boris and Sharlely have been dating for four years. Reportedly, she had broken up with him via a text message, but later the couple reconciled and resumed their relationship. In an interview, he said, “She has accepted me again and trusts me.”

Monica Seles Inducted into Hall of Fame

On Thursday, January 15th, women’s tennis legend Monica Seles was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Seles’s career consisted of nine Grand Slam singles titles and the stabbing incident that anyone who follows tennis remembers. She returned to the tour after being stabbed.
During a conference call, Seles said, “It was just a lot of highs and a lot of lows. One of the things that always kept me going was my love of the game.”

Pete Sampras Returns to London After 6 Years

Watching Pete Sampras play tennis is what got me hooked on the game in the first place. I loved to watch him play. I miss those days!
Well, Pete Sampras fans, the tennis legend will return to London for the BlackRock Masters on Tuesday, December 2nd, for the first time in 6 years. The last time he made an appearance in London was back in 2002 when he only made it to the second round in Wimbledon.
