So Roger Federer almost lost in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters. Down 5-1 in the third set, he won five games in a row and won the tiebreak over 137th-ranked Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo. But really, what’s the big deal? I’m tired of talking about Federer and what his recent slump means. I’d rather talk about the recession of our economy than the supposed recession of Federer’s game. This probably isn’t going to be what you thought it was going to be…whatever that was.
Tennis has garnered its fair share of television commercials considering its relatively small stature in the world of sports. Especially during tournaments, the tennis commercials pop out of the woodwork.
Sarah Alvanipour puts together a nice list for Tennis.com.
My personal favorite? The Roger Federer/Tiger Woods/Some Other Dude in the Gillette commercial. Did anyone else think that last little brush o’ the cheek Roger gave Tiger was a little odd?
