Jake Voskuhl Signs Deal with Mavericks

During the offseason, the Dallas Mavericks have concentrated on adding size to their roster. Right before the beginning of training camp, the Mavs have added another bigman in veteran Jake Voskuhl.
The 31-year-old Voskuhl played 38 games last season with the Toronto Raptors. In 6.3 minutes per game, Voskuhl averaged 0.9 points and 1.6 rebounds. He’s also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Bobcats, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls in his 9-year career.

Tim Thomas to Undergo Knee Surgery

Tim Thomas, who was signed by the Dallas Mavericks in the offseason, injured his knee while getting ready for the NBA season. He’s scheduled to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery. A timetable will be set following the surgical procedure.
The 32-year-old was signed by the Mavericks to add perimeter marksmanship to the club. Last year, he shot 42.1% from three-point land in his 36 games with the New York Knicks. In 18 games he played with the Chicago Bulls, he shot 44.2% from beyond the three-point arc.

Tim Thomas Joins the Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks were reportedly looking for a shooting who could spread the floor. Early this week, the Mavs found what they were looking for. Tim Thomas, who has been one of the better outside shooting bigmen in the NBA over the last decade, has decided to join the Mavs. He will reportedly receive a one-year deal at the veteran’s minimum.
Last season, Thomas split time between the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. His best stint was with the Knicks. In 36 games, the 6-foot-10 power forward averaged 9.6 points. 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while shooting …read more
