Ferrell Leaves “Neighborhood Watch”

Will Ferrell has opted to leave 20th Century Fox’s upcoming film Neighborhood Watch along with director, David Dobkin.  I’m not completely sure what happened (Variety mentions that Dobkins had recently submitted revisions) but I’m guessing it has to do with creative differences.
I know that Dobkins had a with with Wedding Crashers but I think that was partly good timing, good casting and the fact that many of us enjoy a raunchy comedy.  His most recent work, Fred Claus, certainly didn’t earn him any accolades…

Now in Theaters: “Angels and Demons”

Angels and Demons hits theaters today and goes head-to-head with Star Trek in its second week at the box office.  Just from the trailer and the production stills, I can already tell this is a better movie than the first movie The DaVinci Code.  Why?  Because Tom Hanks has gotten rid of that embarrassing mid-life crisis looking mullet.  I swear, I was embarrassed for him.

Friday Date Night Movie: “Big”

Every Friday night, I will highlight an older movie that I think would be perfect for a date night (or even just a relaxing evening at home alone on the couch).
This week, I’m suggesting the movie Big for two main reasons.  The first is that it was just released on Blu-ray this week and the second is that it stars Tom  Hanks who is reprising his role Robert Langdon in Angels and Demons today in theaters.
