Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been released on DVD and Blu-ray. This was one of the most talked-about movies of the year for a variety of reasons. First, people were just really excited for the sequel. Then, critics started ripping it apart. It became one of the highest-grossing poorly reviewed movies in history and now you can own it and watch it over and over again.
In the film, Sam (Shia LaBeouf) inexplicably chooses to go away to college and leave his girlfriend Mikaela (Megan Fox) and his transforming car, Bumblebee, at home. That just doesn’t make sense but you’ve …read more
Michael Bay: Megan Fox is “Ridiculous”

To be very honest, I haven’t read a Megan Fox interview where she came off as a humble, intelligent young woman. One or two comments might be explainable but when virtually everything that comes out of your mouth is offensive enough to have entire sites dedicated to your weird quotes (check out this Top 10 list on Coed Magazine).
Here’s one of my favorites (from the June 2009 issue of Elle): “I’ve lived the life of a 35-year-old since I was 18. I’m so suspicious of boys-slash-men. I just don’t like them or trust them. They’re boys; they’re easily toyed with. …read more
2009 Summer Movie Preview

This summer, movie-goers are being treated to some incredible original movies as well as some amazing-looking sequels. With blockbuster season already underway, I thought it might be a great time to look at what’s already out in theatres as well as what to expect in the coming months.
May was a big month this year with the release of Wolverine: X-Men Origins, Star Trek and Terminator Salvation. There was some controversy with Wolverine being leaked online ahead of its’ big-screen debut but that didn’t seem to deter fans – a sequel to the film is already in the works. Star Trek …read more
Out Now: Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits theaters today (yes, on a Wednesday!) and I’m expecting it to be a huge premiere. Judging from the trailers, this highly anticipated sequel looks great but, of course, I’m sure a lot of movie-goers are wondering if it can be a good as the first film. After seeing some early reviews (Rotten Tomatoes has it currently listed at 21% and Roger Ebert gave it one star), I am a little concerned that they sacrificed plot elements in order to pack a more visual punch.
The story picks up two years after the events in Transformers …read more

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game will be released tomorrow and I’m pretty excited. I found the first game difficult at times but I really enjoyed playing it. It will be available for the Xbox 360, PSP, PS2, PS3, PC, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
This third-person shooter game will be similar to the first in some ways since it will allow gamers to choose between two campaigns – one for the Autobots and another for the Decepticons. The game will be based on the film’s plot but will also include some additional missions and characters.
As I mentioned earlier, …read more
Bay Unhappy With Transformers Promotion

Director Michael Bay is reportedly unhappy with the way Paramount Studios has been promoting his upcoming sequel, Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In an email published by TMZ, Bay even drops a few names while he expresses his outrage.
Bay writes: “…I have been waiting, and waiting for the anticipation of an ‘event movie’ to make it into the ‘public zeitgeist.’” He goes on to call the print campaign an “abject failure,” with a “pathetic presence” before saying: “a studio that does not make [the opening of a movie] an event…. will get bitten in the ass. Besides my good friend …read more
Shia LaBeouf Talks about “Transformers”

Shia LaBeouf went through a lot to reprise his role as Sam Witwicky in the highly anticipated sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. According to a recent interview, the injuries we see Sam suffering happened to Shia in real life, including some nasty stitches to his eyelid (he literally stabbed himself in the eye)! Talk about dedication!
Unfortunately, not all of his injuries happened on-set. As you might have heard, Shia was in a car accident last July and he walked away with his life but his hand suffered irreparable damage. The writers were forced to change some of the storyline …read more
Leonard Nimoy Returning to Transformers?

Michael Bay is hard at work securing the details for his new Transformers robots. The sequel hits theaters on June 24, 2009 but Bay recently explained that he’s “still not done with all the voices.” I’m pretty shocked by that. You’d figure they’d have this thing wrapped by now!
I’m not only a die-hard Transformers fan but I’m also an admitted Trekkie so this next bit of news really piqued my interest. I don’t know how many of you saw the original cartoon Transformers: The Movie (1986) but Leonard Nimoy (best known as Spock from Star Trek) provided the voice of …read more
New Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Stills

Have you seen the new stills for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? If not, you NEED to take a look at them.
First of all, we get our first real look at some of the Decepticons. I’m not 100% sure about the one that appears to be jumping out of the water but I do know that it’s Starscream in the photo below with Sam.
We also get a glimpse at some of the locations. I see that the desert/military scenes have made a comeback but are those the Egyptian pyramids in one shot!? That would be AMAZING!
Of course, I’m also curious …read more
