England beat New Zealand in the Third Test

England win by an innings and 9 runs. New Zealand were rendered helpless and found wanting on the fourth day of the Third Test. We had earlier reported how KP saved England on the first day! Maybe that proved to be the catalyst for a really inspired performance by the Poms.

Kevin Pietersen has been oft criticized for being too irrational and inconsistent! But not today. He was rational and scored 115. While a few of my friends are mulling over the IPL, i thought it was time to move on in life. Everything you love might go away, but this one will come back.

Shaky start to 2nd test

2nd Test match, India vs England, Trent Bridge
Fickle weather in England looks set to completely disrupt the 2nd test between England and India. Day 1 didn’t get underway until 1500 and by close of play, England had managed to lose 7 wickets for a mere 170 rus. The Indian bowling was of a reasonable standard with a handful of unplayable deliveries, but really, the day was characterised by most batsmen getting a start but lacking the concentration and application needed to go and get a big score.
