Unfortunately, here in Canada .. we don’t get those NBC Google videos … But, I thought it would be nice to have ONE great post with tons of great links of pictures and videos that EVERYONE around the world can view and enjoy! I’ve been confused lately about the whole Turin/Torino thing. For the longest time I thought it was “Torino”, then I saw “Turin” poping up everywhere, so I started calling it that. Then I started seeing it referred to as “Torino” again.
If you’re a bit on the slow side like me, then allow me to help you out-
The “real” Italian name of the city is “Torino”. The American butchered version is “Turin”.
Normally it’s the other way around, with Americans having to add an extra vowel for some reason. But not here. It’s “Turino”.
