Vitaminwater Contest Has $5000 Up for Grabs

Back in September we told you about the vitaminwater contest where you, the water slugging consumer, could vote for the next flavor vitaminwater would be bringing to market.
In an amazing display of voting diversity, the urban street vote exactly matched the yuppie hipster count to produce the newest vitaminwater flavor which will be available in stores next year: black-cherry lime.
Does it get any better than that? Black-cherry for when you’re hanging around the playground playing pick-up hoops with the guys and lime for when you’re mingling at a social function with your Appletini sipping friends from the social register.
But …read more

Wanna Be In A Coca-Cola Commercial?

Then you’d better hurry up because you’ve only got eleven days left to film a video of yourself doing the sound effects of opening a bottle or can of Coke.
Here are the sound effects you’ll need to imitate to get a shot at starring in the commercial:
Opening a bottle or can of Coca-Cola
Ice cubes clinking as they drop into a glass
Pouring a Coca-Cola over the ice
The fizzing of a Coca-Cola as it bubbles after being poured
Your first drink of a Coca-Cola
That “Ahh” moment of refreshment

If you’re really good, I’m pretty sure they’d let you pass if you did an impression …read more

It May Not Be The Greatest Commercial…

…but it’s up there.
Proctor and Gamble is having a little tongue-in-cheek (Ed. – I knew I’d regret that formulation as soon as I typed it) fun with “that time of the month.”
All I can say is, “It’s about time.” We could all stand a little more humor on those days when you ladies “might not be at your best.”
And, yes, I do realize I risk being stabbed in the throat with a fork for even suggesting it.
Any-hoo. This brings us to the new Tampax commercial starring Serena Williams and Mother Nature.

‘..The Bravest Thing I Had Ever Seen…’

Staff Sergeant Jared C. Monti was honored yesterday with the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration awarded by the United States.
President Obama gave a stirring tribute to a soldier who was representative of the best this country has to offer.
Edited and highlighted from the President’s remarks at the Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House:
Of all the privileges serving as President, there’s no greater honor than serving as Commander-in-Chief of the finest military that the world has ever known. And of all the military decorations that a President and a nation can bestow, there is none higher …read more

fun with a capital ‘F’ from vitaminwater

The people at vitaminwater have a bold new program.
And it has nothing to do with the unique way they user only lower case letters and highlight the typeface in the name of their product.
They’re throwing down the creative gauntlet (or maybe just giving their flavor-inventors some time off) as they let you, the consumer, design the next big thing in vitaminwater land.
Utilizing a “flavor creator lab” on Facebook and a white-coated female avatar who speaks with a Bogart-style lisp, the folks at vitaminwater have pretty much reinvented their entire web presence around the program which gives water lovers …read more

Wow! That Is One Wet, Awesome, Dirty…

…uh, martini as it turns out.
You’ll see the O-face pictured below on the Bravo and E! networks over the coming weeks as Three-O vodka ramps up its media spending on television after a successful print campaign and an attention-grabbing What’s Your O-Face? contest.

That feels good going down…uh, the vodka, that is….
-
The makers of Triple-O vodka have managed to set their product apart from the clamor of a crowded field of premium vodkas to position their brand as a fun and irreverent cocktail choice.
Three-O vodka is establishing a reputation for creative and intense-flavored vodkas which add a new twist (zing!) to …read more

A New Way To Roll

From the moment you hear the website’s ambient music — which sounds like the background track for a perky yoga session — you know Kia brought a different approach to the design of their new car, the Soul.
-
When the wood chips are down, the hamsters get funky…
-
For starters, designer Mike Torpey took his inspiration for the silhouette of the car from a wild boar with a backpack.
Either Mike is showing off his creative skills or giving the rest of us a hidden clue there’s some awesome weed available over in Korea.
Throw in the fact every commercial features a trio of …read more

The Buckwheat Boyz Are Back In Town

The Buckwheat Boyz are making a career from rapping about things everyone loves. First, there was the Internet hit It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time.
Now, the Boyz are back in town bringing their special brand of fun to a new spot for Baskin Robbins ice cream with a catchy little number called Ice Cream and Cake.

Add your own topping to the Ice Cream and Cake song

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this song is destined to be the next big wedding reception hit. It combines the best features of the Electric Slide with …read more

Viral Marketing Battle Over Health Care

Oh, the irony. Both sides of the health care debate are using viral marketing to make their points.
The latest skirmish is the result of a clash between the Drudge Report which pointed to a video showing President Obama and others claiming that government entry into health care would eventually lead to a single payer system and eliminate private health insurance over time.
The White House responded to the video with a video of its own decrying “scare tactics” and accusing the video of taking quotes “out of context.”
Holy Sarah Palin, Batman! The media’s at it again. They’ve got …read more

Domino’s Pizza: Taking It To The Streets

Domino’s Pizza is hitting the streets with its latest ad campaign.
Well, maybe not the streets … but certainly the sidewalks.
To help promote their new line of American Legend Pizzas, Domino’s hired ad agency GreenGraffiti to blast 220 Domino’s Pizza ads onto sidewalks in the three “legendary” American cities of Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New York City.
The ads were blasted with the help of a high-pressure water sprayer and a Domino’s logo stencil. The result: an ad that looks like it was painted on the sidewalk but is actually created by steam cleaning the part of the …read more
