Multiplayer Demo for Uncharted 2…

…and that’s it.
Yup.
No single player demo for you. Or me for that matter. While I understand Naughty Dog’s and Sony’s desire to show off Uncharted 2’s new multiplayer capabilities, the thing that made the first Uncharted so cool was the story.
A story that, though rather linear and movie like, was pretty damn engrossing and is what makes Uncharted 2 a game that I would like to play. However, I can’t say that I’m thrilled by the fact that a demo of the single player version isn’t being released.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

I gave into the hype and asked Santa for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
I was not disappointed.
Drake’s Fortune is like playing a character in a movie instead of a character in a game.
The graphics are beautifully rendered; I don’t feel that any of the screenshots do the game graphics justice.
Also, the voice acting is great; all of the characters are believable…definitely a breath of fresh air.
All in all, the environment is utterly engaging. Well, except for the part where I head shot a toucan and it got pissed and flew off.

Go ahead and print this post out for Santa because you’re going to want almost all of these games under your Christmas tree.
Mass Effect comes out this week for the 360 and the screenshots and plot have me wishing that this wasn’t a 360 exclusive game. There’s nothing like a little girl-on-girl action to really get the buzz going around a game. I hope you pre-ordered.
