Good? Bad? There’s no telling.
Some will argue that this is just another way for Walmart to beat out the little man and monopolize yet another market. I have witnessed two small “mom and pop” video game stores go under due to Game Stop rolling in to town.
What happens now that Walmart is introducing 77 game trade-in kiosks across the Northeast?
It’s easy to damn Walmart for being a “big box” store and making so much freakin’ money but if there’s a need [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

A belated congratulations to Northern State coach Don Meyers.
Meyers passed Bobby Knight for the most wins coach in college basketball history over the weekend. He got win number 903 when his team defeated the University of Mary 82-62 on Saturday.
Northern State (12-2) is currently ranked 11th in the most recent Division II polls.
The win gave Meyers a record of 903-301, which dates back to 1972 and at three universities.

I didn’t know this until I saw the USA Today article, but Meyers, was nearly killed in an auto accident and was hospitalized for nearly two months. He had his lower left leg amputated and has been coaching from a wheelchair since.

That makes the record even more special and I wish Meyers many more wins and a championship or two.

FYI: The active coach with the most Division I wins is Mike Krzyzewski with 829 going into this week’s games.

Yesterday I come home from a great 80 degree day at the beach with my wife and son (it’s 85 today, so I’m going to make this quick so I can get the boy back to the beach), and I turn on the television to see that the team formally known as North Carolina lost again.

Wake Forest (15-0) handed the Tar Heels (14-2) their second lost of the season 92-89 at Wake Forest.

The loss dropped North Carolina to fifth in the AP poll and sixth in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

The win was good enough for Wake Forest to move up to second in the AP poll and third in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

Can these two polls agree on anything?!

Which brings me to ask, which poll do you think is more legit?

Pittsburgh (15-0) hangs on to the number one ranking for the second week after playing one game. The Panthers rolled over St. John’s 90-67 on Sunday.

I said it before and I’ll say it again – here comes Duke!

The Blue Devils (14-1) are ranked second by ESPN/USA Today and third by the AP. You have to believe that they will be ranked number one sometime with the next few weeks.

I know it’s early, but the way the Big East and Atlantic Coast Conference teams are playing right now, it’s safe to say that one or two will be in the Final Four in March (or is it in April now?).

Here’s are both polls.
