I am Excited on Buffalo USB 3.0

I have previously written about the USB 3.0 format which was high speed and prime for video streaming (USB 3.0 for Video Streaming). The excitement for USB 3.0 continues and I am particularly waiting for Buffalo to release their Hard disk drives running on USB 3.0 before the end of the month.

USB 3.0 for Video Streaming

Reports and news has been on-going for quite sometime that the USB 3.0 is expected to ship out before the end of 2009 from Taiwanese manufacturers.
USB 3.0 is also dubbed as SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus (USB), and is the next generation of USB interface. The conference held in Tokyo last May 20-21, 2009 indicates that USB 3.0 is full speed ahead and computers would carry this new interface.

USB 3.0 coming later this year

Nikkei Electronics Asia suggests that the first USB 3.0-enabled PCs and devices could begin appearing as soon as holiday season of this year. Early estimates had USB 3.0 not arriving until sometime in 2010, but Nikkei says that thanks to the faster-than-expected development of “compliant integrated circuits (IC), instruments for equipment developers, and more” throughout the industry.
