RUMOR: Bill Belichick and a You-Know-What Tape?

Does New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick have some kind of videotape fetish?
Everyone knows about the so-called Spygate shenanigans and the fallout (including the false story on the Pats taping the Rams, for which sports writer John Tomase is still paying). But the latest rumor linking Bill Belichick to a videotape is a little less family-friendly, involves a married-at-the-time-but-not-to-Belichick woman, and wasn’t filmed on a football field.
We echo Sports Crackle Pop’s “Don’t Let It Be True” sentiment. We heart Bill Belichick and all but we don’t. Want. That. Mental. Image.
John Tomase’s Article Bombarded With Inflammatory Comments

Yesterday we pointed out two Boston Herald articles in which some not-so-subtle readers used the comments section as a means of imploring the newspaper to help John Tomase, creator of the Pats-Rams Super Bowl Videotape Myth, do his best John the Baptist impression.
Those articles were written by Tomase’s colleagues. Wait until you see the comments in Tomase’s own article today.
Thanks to reader Bacchus, who has the nose (among other things) of a bear and sniffed this out for us.
Lawyer for Ex-Pats Videotaper Matt Walsh: He Never Claimed to Have a Rams Tape

First-class traitor Former New England Patriots assistant Matt Walsh touched base with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this week. The purpose? To assess Walsh’s proof of things like the Patriots taping the St. Louis Rams at a pre-Super Bowl XXXVI practice in 2002.
Usually, when you’re talking about evidence supporting a videotape claim, said evidence is—wait for it—the videotape itself. Not eight other videotapes of signals involving other teams and other games. Somehow Walsh, who turned over those irrelevant-the-Rams-issue tapes, must subscribe to the logic “If X=Y and Z=Y, then A=B because, well, because I said so.”
Or something like that.

A Naughty Tape of Tom and Gisele?

The unconfirmed rumor, explained here and originating from Page Six, claims that there’s a you-know-what tape of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen.
It. Gets. Better.
The alleged documentary evidence isn’t just of the New England Patriots QB getting um, a close-up of his chick’s—we’re guessing here—Brazilian bikini wax in a snoozer locale like a bedroom.
No. Apparently, and we’re holding a container of Morton’s salt as we report this, the happy couple got busy in a wine cellar . . . in a restaurant. (Please keep your filthy “popping the cork” references to yourself). Hooray for well-placed security tapes!

The Rams’ Class(less) Action Lawsuit

Here’s an exercise in stupidity futility: Suing the New England Patriots because they beat you in Super Bowl XXXVI.
Somebody please send that in a memo to the St. Louis Rams before they’re laughed out of the NFL. The Rams, who lost the game 20-17, have filed a $100M class action lawsuit against the team and Coach Bill Belichick. On what grounds? Per ESPN:
The suit says: “The basis of this action is that the Defendants illegally videotaped the St. Louis Rams (”Rams”) “walk through” prior to the 2002 Super Bowl for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in the game.” …read more
