The Tennessee Titans have turned around their season — in large part thanks to Vince Young. The Titans were 0-6 before they gave the reins to Young. Since then, they’ve won five of their six games, with their only loss coming last week to the undefeated Indianapolis Colts.
Heading into Week 14 of the 2009 NFL season, Young is questionable due to a knee injury. Although many in the organization believe that he’s iffy to play, Young thinks he will play — and there’s no reason to think he’s lying.
On the season, Young is 107-for-175 for 1251 yards and six passing …read more

Not long ago, Vince Young appeared on track to become an NFL star. Now? A solid preseason showing is undeniably a step in the right direction after the way his career has derailed.
A solid showing is exactly what he showed in the Titans’ preseason finale on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers. Young had a hand in two touchdowns as the Titans won the exhibition game 27-13.
Young finished 7-for-12 for 85 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, the quarterback who played his college football at the University of Texas, Young ran five times for 38 yards and a touchdown.

A week after he was murdered, Steve McNair was laid to rest in his home state of Mississippi. The NFL legend was remembered for his accomplishments on and off the field.
In the Steve McNair funeral video below, you can see Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens and Vince Young of the Tennessee Titans talk about his life. Young was especially emotional about his mentor passing away.
Other notable people at the funeral were Brett Favre, Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears and former NFL quarterback Doug Williams.

Vince Young Wants to Play

Jeff Fisher, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, has made it clear that Kerry Collins is the starting quarterback. For Vince Young to start for the Titans at quarterback, he’d have to beat out Collins during the offseason and during the exhibition season.
Recently, Young upped the ante with his comments to a Baltimore television station. Instead of sounding like a player ready to play his best to win the starting gig, Young sounds more like a player who is ready to give an ultimatum.
Said Young to WMAR-TV in Baltimore: “I definitely want to get back out there playing ball …read more
Vince Young Makes It Rain

Vince Young apparently has so much money, he can afford to throw it around. Literally. At an event with rapper Nelly last weekend, Young pulled out a “wad of cash and started showering the crowd with dollar bills.” That just has trouble all over it, doesn’t it?
I’m not sure what the appeal is that when you get to be a well-paid football player you immediately need to do something that might jeopardize your position. While I’m a huge fan of Nelly, I think throwing money out into a crowd is not a great idea. (Plus, …read more
Patrick Ramsey Joins the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans wanted to add a third quarterback to the mix and were able to do that on Friday by signing Patrick Ramsey. The void was left on the Titans after Chris Simms signed with the Denver Broncos earlier in the offseason.
A former first round pick out of Tulane, Ramsey was once a highly regarded quarterback. But after failing to ever lay claim to the starting quarterback job with the Washington Redskins, Ramsey went on to play for the New York Jets and the Broncos. In his career, he has thrown 35 touchdowns and 30 interceptions while completing 56% …read more
Fisher: Vince Young Has to Win Job Back

Jeff Fisher, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, made it clear that Vince Young won’t simply be given his starting quarterback job back. Instead, Young is going to have to show a commitment to improving and the burden is on him to earn the starting gig back. Until then, Kerry Collins will continue to start at quarterback.
Young has underwhelmed ever since a strong rookie campaign in 2006. In his sophomore season with Tennessee, Young had 17 interceptions to go with only nine touchdown passes. Last year, Young started three games before losing the starting role to Collins. In his …read more
Was Durant Among the All-Time Great Athletes at Texas?

When I saw that the University of Texas was retiring the jerseys of several famous athletes and Kevin Durant’s name was on the list I thought….
Huh?
Durant was a great player and all, but does a one-and-done player who didn’t win a thing while with the Longhorns deserve to be in the same class as Vince Young, Ricky Williams, Roger Clemens and T.J. Ford?
In his one and only season at Texas in 2006-07, Durant was an All-American, the Big 12 Player of the Year and National Player of the Year among other numerous awards he received.
He opted out for the NBA …read more
