Here’s a bit of a chuckle for ya. Washington Redskins running back Ladell Betts (notice the spelling) had “Bettis” on the back of his jersey last night during the Skins’ exhibition game against the Ravens. Hey, if you’re going to channel a running back, Jerome Bettis isn’t a bad one to covet.
Betts, for his part, didn’t even know the name was wrong on his jersey at first. He said someone told him he needed to change his jersey, and at first he thought it must be ripped because why else would he need to change it? …read more

More city councils are getting behind the push.
From the Georgia Voice:
“On October 2, Councilmember Tommy Wells (D-Ward 6) introduced the ‘Taxicab Hybrid Technology Vehicle Expansion Act of 2007.’ The bill would give D.C.-based taxi companies a one-time $2,000 tax credit to be put toward the purchase of a hybrid or alternative fuel car.”
