Cellphone to Watch Bluetooth Link

What’s one of the first cool gadgets you remember seeing and then thinking to yourself, “Oh that would be so cool if it were real!”. For me it was probably the Dick Tracy communicator watch. Not sure why, the logic of it isn’t too outstanding, but at the time I saw it, it seemed so out there, but so useful, it was a perfect match.

There’s this watch you can use that looks pretty close to Dick Tracy’s, but I’m not really looking for a watch I can talk to at this point. It’s just a couple of features I’d like to integrate into my watch from my phone that I’m interested in instead. Bluetooth seems to be the logical connection link, but I’m not picky.

What I’m interested in is a watch that connects to my cellphone via Bluetooth that will silently notify me of a phone call without my phone vibrating or ringing. Either a tiny kinetic probe on the underside that would gently poke me when I receive a call, or maybe even a slight electric shock.

Maybe I’m just sick and tired of hearing cellphone go off around me, even my own, but these days I completely silence my phone most of the day now. I just set it in front of me so I can tell when it goes off when it lights up.

Now that I think about it, it would also be nice to have a little CallerID display on the face of the watch too. Maybe the face of the watch could display the face of the caller in my address book.

Items That Help Your Workout

If you can gain an edge on your workout, then you need to look into it. Here are some accessories and other items that I think can give you a boost in your workout.

MP3 player with 40+ of your favorite songs – a good list of your favorite music can really give you extra energy to give you a great workout.
Good running/Xtraining shoes – your comfort while exercising can’t be emphasized enough. Working out can be hard enough without any physical pain or problems with your shoes.
Breathable mesh shorts/shirts – stay cool while you workout with high technology workout clothing. Your skin will be able to breathe and you won’t get overheated. Also, mesh doesn’t restrain your range of motion.
2-3 cold bottles of water – You need to stay full hydrated while working out. Cool water is the best way to keep you hydrated and your body at a low temperature. You should never be deprived of water.
Watch – This is the least important of the 5, but a watch can tell you when your rest should be up, how long to hold your exercise, if you’re lagging, and whether you are done.

Rise of the Argonauts on Xbox 360

Rise of the Argonauts comes out on Xbox 360 on December 16, 2008 and it looks pretty cool if you like role-playing games. The plot basically follows Jason, the Greek king, and his Argonauts on their quest to find the Golden Fleece. You’ll encounter familiar names and characters like Hercules, Achilles, Perseus and King Leonidas.

Jason’s wife, Alceme, is killed and the only way to bring her back to life is to find the Golden Fleece. Naturally, it’s not going to be easy so you will have to help him in his journey. Here’s the official trailer:

Scene It? Box Office Smash on Xbox 360

I have a few of the Scene It? board games but I have always found them a bit awkward. You have to go from regular questions to fiddling with the DVD player for visual clues/questions and it just irritates me. That’s why I find a game like Scene It? Box Office Smash so appealing – you can play it ALL on your Xbox 360!

It’s also super interactive so you won’t lose what so many people like about board games – up to four teams can face off, you can play with a custom avatar and you can react to each other throughout the course of the game.

The best part, for me, is that you can download content through Xbox LIVE so the questions stay fresh and the game never gets old! You can buy the game alone or you can get it bundled with 4 big button controllers (I would suggest this!).

The game is rated "T" for Teen and retails for $39.99 alone or $59.99 in a bundle.

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe Demo

I don’t know how it’s possible but I only heard about this game a few days ago. In just three days, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will be released and I can’t wait! Who thought of this combination?! It’s insane! There are some new features that I think are pretty outstanding and seem totally appropriate given the nature of the DC Comics characters.

Players will be able to engaged in "close combat" which means that you can pull your opponent really close and then unleash a series of moves. In "free-fall combat," you can engage your opponent as you fall to the ground which, again, is reminiscent of things you would expect from a DC Comics game/film.

Beyond that, it’s just pretty cool to imagine the gameplay – Scorpion vs. Superman? Raiden vs. Batman? The Flash vs. Subzero??? Who is going to take on Catwoman!?

Yeah… this game is going on my Christmas list for sure! The rating on this one is still pending but I can pretty much guarantee that it’s going to be "M" for Mature or, at the very least "T" for Teen. The suggested retail price is $59.99

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe Demo

NCAA Basketball 09 Hits Stores December 2, 2008

I love sports but I must admit that I do not normally play basketball video games (I typically stick to hockey). However, this game, NCAA Basketball 09, which is being released just in time for the holidays, looks like something I’d be willing to try.

I love the fact that the player goes through an authentic process from being in a Division 1 team to receiving scouting reports. You can even choose a pre-game strategy to control the style of play you use. Coaches even provide feedback in real-time.

EA wanted to make the game more realistic so they have improved the arenas and mascots, included both classic and alternate uniforms and have added in-game commentary and analysis. It’s just like being in the game in real life!

Rated "E" for Everyone and retails for $49.99.

Olympic gold-medalist, Shaun White, collaborated with Ubisoft to create this awesome snowboarding game which will be released on November 16, 2008. Shaun White Snowboarding allows you to customize your gaming experience in a way that is fitting of this extreme sport. You can create your own paths or attempt to conquer the extreme peak conditions. To make it even more realistic, you can do runs on mountains filled with real gamers (or your friends!), learn tricks and, after earning enough points, you can even play as Shaun himself.

One thing that I find super cool is the fact that you can do other things aside from snowboarding – you can have a snowball fight and hike to secret locations. If you are up to it, you can film you and your friends doing tricks and then you can upload the videos online!
