JJ Lin, Lin Junjie or 林俊杰, is Samsung’s youth ambassador and he has the job to sing, dance, promote and play in the Asian leg of World Cyber Games (WCG) in August. As an enthu gamer, JJ will display his DOTA (Defence of The Ancients Allstars) skills in the event. If all else fails, JJ can croon a few songs from Westside, his new album.
Actually the gaming culture among Singapore teens and kids is pretty healthy but pro-gaming is still not in the list of well-recognized professional jobs in Singapore. No mummy in Singapore will tell their kids to go …read more

Apart from sponsoring gaming desktops, activities, Intel promoters plus an Intel babe occured at the Intel booth. No joking that people (mostly males) lined up to pose with the Intel babe.
For sure Intel is using WCG as a platform to tell high-end gamers, casual gamers and non-gamers that when it comes to gaming, there’s Intel.

WCG Asian Championships – DOA 4, Tetra and His DOA Controller

Tetra, Wilson Chia, Singapore DOA player, WCG 2005 Dead or Alive Ultimate silver medalist, grabbed a gold in Dead or Alive 4 (DOA 4) in WCG Asian Championships. His opponent from China used the original Xbox 360 controller in the final showdown and Tetra used a joystick, not just any type but one of DOA style. So? Is always better to use a joystick to play fighting games.
Here’s the very last round that determined Tetra’s win.

Game Over! Tetra won 2-1!

Tetra and Me! Not to forget his trusty DOA joystick that was his fighting weapon (the one he’s holding).
P.S: Tetra, thanx …read more

WCG Asian Championships – Samsung Babe

In case you didn’t know, WCG Asian Championships is held at Suntec convention hall 602, Singapore, during these few days and Sunday is the last day. I dropped by on Saturday and went to check out a few game events and babes. Actually there are only pretty ladies from Samsung. Maybe there’s more but Samsung has the biggest booth with the most number of babes and I didn’t check out the other booths.
Anyway, here’s a picture taken with a bubbly Samsung girl. Sharks, I forgot to ask her name and number.

You can check out their latest handphone models, with games …read more
