I know a few people who have lost a significant amount of weight (and kept it off) with OPTIFAST – Nestle’s medically monitored weight loss program. If you are considering joining, right now is a great time. They have just announced a competition where three big losers can win big prizes.

Maintain Strength During Weight Loss

It’s great to get strong. It’s even better if you can slim down in the process. I’ve gained weight this summer (7 lbs). Undoubtedly some of my weight gain is muscle, but there is also some fat in there. With a wedding coming up in two weeks, I’d like to slim down but I don’t want to lose any of my muscle.

Results Not Typical

Again, I’m still riding the Hype wave. Flipping through another magazine I came across a Jenny Craig or Weight-Watchers ad or something. I honestly can’t remember. The person said they had lost like 25 lbs in 2 months by using the system or product. What always catches my eye in ads is the little asterisk with “Results Not Typical“.
Wouldn’t it be nice is they actually showed the Typical results instead of the one out of however many? Would it be nice to see the average Joe that only lost 7 lbs in 2 months? Wouldn’t it be nice to know …read more
Supplement Ads: The Stupid Newspaper Trick

Remember the” before and after” picture I showed before when I talked about the Bigger, Faster, Stronger movie ? Another “Trick” I always found quite silly was the before and after pictures for fat burning pills, where the person in the picture is holding a newspaper to “Prove” that it only took them a certain number of days to lose the weight and get cut.
