Wes Welker Injury Update – Knee Injury

Wes Welker, the possession receiver for the New England Patriots, missed the team’s Week 2 game against the New York Jets. Although the team hasn’t released much information, Welker’s absence has been blamed on a knee injury.
For Week 3, Welker apparently thinks he will play — according to a report on ESPN.com. That said, Welker didn’t practice on Wednesday, which is a definite sign that he’s not completely healthy. If he doesn’t get back on the practice field on Thursday or Friday, you can expect him to miss at least another game.

We were so happy about the New England Patriots’ 31-20 playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that we had a hard time settling down to sleep Saturday night. (And yet that lack of sleep didn’t sap our energy: We definitely had enough pep Sunday to do cartwheels when the Indianapolis Colts lost to the San Diego Chargers.
