Forbes National Editor Michael Ozanian talks about what the Chicago Cubs are worth these days, which turns out to be $1.3 billion by his estimation. This means that when the Cubs are finally sold they could set the record for the most expensive sports franchise, topping the $750 million that was paid for the NFL’s Washington Redskins. Now the only question that remains – will Mark Cuban become the owner of that team?

Mark Cuban is hoping to add to his owner tab, by becoming the leader of the storied Chicago Cubs franchise. Think about it. What could be better than the ivy, the bleachers and Cuban heckling those poor outfielders!
