Put Wikipedia in your pocket

Wikipedia is arguably the world’s greatest encyclopedia. Its most famous attribute — that anyone can go in at any time and add or change an entry — has worked in its favor, making it extensive and exhaustive. A company called Openmoko believes that Wikimedia is so useful, there could be a need for an inexpensive device dedicated solely to reading Wikimedia’s 3 million+ topics.

Tonight I was reminded and informed that Evernote has a premium service available that expands the functionality and allows me to import any file type into my Evernote program. That would make my new little shortcut even more useful.

Take-Two Interactive Software [Grand Theft Auto guys] has to pay up and pay up big.

And when I say “big” I mean $3 million dollars big so that they can settle a stock dispute with the Securities and Exchange Commission over some dirty stock dealings.
Christopher Conte, an S.E.C. attorney in Washington overseeing the case said, “Take-Two’s seven-year backdating scheme was egregious and pervasive, and caused the company to materially misrepresent its financial condition to investors.”

Wikipedia, the world’s free encyclopedia, is celebrating its seventh birthday today. Even though it existed a little before Jan 15, 2001, it was formally launched only on that day. Wikipedia is a multilingual project with currently over 12 million articles. All articles can be viewed and edited by anyone who have access to the website.
I use Wikipedia as much as I use Google, and often visit the site directly for certain kinds of information, before searching it elsewhere.
