More “Independence Day” Movies Coming?

Director, Roland Emmerich, is considering releasing two more movies to follow-up the storyline in Independence Day. My first thought was “why?” but then I thought of the fact that this man also put out 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow (a damn fine movie if you ask me) so it would appear the man just loves disaster movies.
After all these years, I’m not sure why this old movie needs to be resurrected. Have we completely run out of things to make movies about because, if that is the case, maybe we should slow down the production.
Emmerich also said that …read more
Is a Third “Men In Black” Necessary?
November 1, 2009 by Jeanne Dupuis

It’s being reported that Columbia Pictures is moving ahead with plans to release a third Men in Black film. Honestly, if Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith (who currently do not have deals in place for this project) are not involved, I’m not even going to consider giving it a chance.
It’s unlikely, though, that either of them would turn down the opportunity. It’s not like their careers are running at full-tilt right now anyway, right?
The good thing is that the storyline doesn’t necessarily require continuity and will be guaranteed to feature several things: aliens, special effects and Tommy Lee rolling …read more
“Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a great show and now the first two seasons are finally available on DVD! Relive the moments that made this show a classic (and remember what the original mom looked like before the casting change!).
Even though Will Smith already had a relatively successful career as a rapper, it wasn’t until this show launched that he became a real star. When it premiered, a lot of people really questioned whether he could make the transition from the music industry to television and, clearly, he’s done more than that.
The show had a real charm to it …read more
“Hancock 2” In The Works

I might be going out on a limb here but I think that the majority of people who even bothered to watch Hancock thought it was pretty awful. It sucked so bad, in my opinion, that I couldn’t even watch the whole thing.
Now I’m hearing that there’s a sequel in the works and I can’t for the life of me imagine why Columbia Pictures would want to do this. Yes, it looks like there’s going to be a Hancock 2.
I don’t know if Will Smith is just bored but I don’t know why he would be willing to return to …read more
Will Smith’s Amazing Training for Movies

If you saw Will Smith in I am Legend (great movie by the way), you witnessed how great of shape he got himself in for the part. Although very muscular, Smith actually dropped 20 lbs for the film and was weighing in at 185. Six years prior to this, Smith was in Ali and bulked up from 185 to 220 training 5 days a week for 6 hours. His workout consisted primarily of boxing, weight lifting, and running.
After Ali, he lost his muscle but put it back and then some for his lead role in iRobot. His bench press shot …read more
Now on DVD: “Seven Pounds”

Will Smith’s movie, Seven Pounds, came out on DVD yesterday. It tells the story of an “IRS agent with a fateful secret embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers.” I hadn’t even heard of the movie until all the buzz started happening about a “twist” in the storyline. I was initially intrigued, after seeing the trailer, so I decided I had to go looking around the internet to find out what happens that is so interesting. Let me just say, if you’re inclined to do the same thing – DON’T. This …read more

So, picture you sitting at your kid’s football game, and you look over at the other parents in the stands and low and behold there’s Will Smith cheering on his son.
Will came out to cheer on his son Trey along with his ex-wife (and Trey’s mom) Sheree Zampino. (She’s pictured on the left, with the black top and blue jeans on.)
Trey, according to Splash News, also plays on the team with Trevor Gretzky, son of former hockey great Wayne Gretzky. That’s some school. Perhaps getting celebs to come to their kids games is …read more
Victoria Beckham’s Posh Birthday Party

Last week we mentioned that Victoria Beckham turned 34. We posed 10 questions, one of which involved our curiosity as to whether the erstwhile Posh Spice smiled on her birthday. To that we can’t attest one way or the other, but we can certainly see by Exhibit A here that grins still aren’t a priority for David Beckham’s bustier half, seen here shopping yesterday:

We didn’t get invited to the birthday party (that’s 34 straight snubs, in case you were wondering), but MSN Hot Gossip’s rundown of the celebratory and celebrity-filled shindig reads like a Who’s Who in Hollywood: …read more
