That was frustrating because Windows Vista should already go away and Microsoft spend its time perfecting Windows 7 because as the user base grow then problems would start popping up as I am currently experiencing.

Anyways, it seems that even with the release of Windows 7, the platform update …read more

Multi-Display and Window Management with SplitMon

My boss was looking for a similar application, but one that would work better with more than two monitors, as well as provide additional window management features that would work with Windows Vista. He found what he was looking for with the SplitMon software.

Fighting with Windows – Delayed Write Failed Messages Again

I’m starting to get an error again like I got before related to the use of my Maxtor 320GB external hard drive. I believe this time that the issue is more related to my new usage of the Windows Hibernate option on a regular basis instead of powering down.

When I put my computer into Hibernate mode I have my external drive connected to the machine. I’ll then pack everything up and head off to the next client. I take my laptop out my bag first and it begins powering-up. As soon as it resumes from Hibernate I get the messages …read more

Improve Your Hard disk performance

There are just files in your computer that drags and hogs your hard disk. Windows doesn’t readily give you the option to search and find the size of the content of the nested folders. Apps that do not install on Windows 7?

Windows 7 is getting all the positive comments where all applications are working perfectly on the operating system and Microsoft has already stated that all drivers that work on Windows Vista are guaranteed to work on Windows 7 together with applications that work on Windows XP but did not work on Windows Vista.

I was excited on this notion and installed Windows 7 build 70++ back in May and I was disappointed to find out that configuring IIS in order to run server applications threw exception errors. Also, the Daemon I was using threw all sorts of error as well.
Today, …read more
