Women starting a business can get some help

The WomensNet.net Amber Grant is available for women starting businesses this year.
The $500 grant allows women-owned startups to cover some expenses including equipment, web design or publicity.
To apply, go to http://www.womensnet.net/Amber-Grants/apply.php. Applications are being accepted until October 31. Applicants must be members of WomensNet.net. The grantee will be announced in November.
Founded in 1998 by Melody Wigdahl, WomensNet.net is an online women’s business community that exists to help women succeed in small business. The Amber Grant was created in memory of Wigdahl’s sister, who died at 19.
