As promised, World Vegetarian Day is just a few moments away, and I wanted to take just a few of those moments to share some words of encouragement, and a nudge to you to go out and explore your local groceries and stock up on ingredients you’ll need if you decide to take the plunge and celebrate beyond today. Go Green October 1st

I know it isn’t for everyone, but give it a try–just for one day.  This Wednesday, October 1 marks World Vegetarian Day, a day of recognition for meat-free diets, and healthy and compassionate lifestyle choices.  If you really get into the spirit of it,  the green lifestyle celebration continues throughout October with Vegetarian Awareness Month.
The most prominent and important message you’ll pull from their website, http://www.worldvegetarianday.org/, is how much more healthful it is for your body for you to drop meat from your daily diet, and how much more humane and compassionate it is to reduce the impact of raising animals for slaughter, spiritually and environmentally speaking.
