Dinara Safina Grabs No. 1 Singles Ranking

On April 20th, a new world number one player will be crowned. Today (April 8th) the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour announced that Dinara Safina will be replacing Serena Williams as the top women’s tennis player. Dinara is only the second Russian woman to hold the No. 1 spot. She joins Maria Sharapova.
