View Cohost Goes WWE

Watch out wresting fans! Sherri Shepherd of The View is coming your way! Apparently, she’s become a fan of the sport. Or, to put it another way, she’s a fan of a certain wrestler named MVP. She’s says MVP is “goooorgeous.”

She said she is going to chase this man down and find out if he’s married or single. She also made it clear she wouldn’t mind taking his hand in marriage! (Are you groaning yet? Wait, it gets worse.)
So then MVP apparently is also interested in her (or he’s trying to get ratings) and he invited her to a match on May 1st. She’s going to “get in his corner” (if ya know what I mean - wink wink!).

ECW Results

Last night’s ECW show was taped from Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas. I find ECW less and less entertaining every week. Here are the results of last nights show.
Matt Hardy came to the ring and started talking about who he’s going to face at Cyber Sunday. He says he wants Mark Henry (As if we haven’t seen enough of this already). Finlay and Honswoggle comes out and Finlay says he’s going to win the title. Evan Bourne comes out and says that he’s not to be overlooked and then out comes Mark Henry and he talks about match…blah, blah, blah.

John Cena To Return On November 30th?
October 13, 2008 by Scott Wharton

I think it’s a bit too soon after his recent surgery, but reports are saying that John Cena will return for a Raw Challenge Match at a Raw brand house show from the Sovereign Center in Reading Pennsylvania on November 30th against Randy Orton.
I’m not sure what the doc’s stipulations are on him returning to the ring so soon after having neck surgery, but I just think it’s too soon. John Cena is always a great match and Randy Orton…well, Randy is a bit overdone if you ask me. He’s a great heel but it gets a bit old. How long has he been doing this Legend killer angle now? C’mon, it’s time for a change with this dude.
I’d rather see Cena off for a while so he can heal properly without risking further injury, but I suppose you can’t keep Cena down.

HI, I’m Dolph Ziggler And I’m On A 30 Day Suspension

Dolph Ziggler (Or you may know him as Nick Nemeth of the Spirit Squad) just got himself his first violation of the WWE’s Wellness policy. No news on the specifics of the violation, but he’s got 30 days suspension. I don’t know if this means that he will be shown back stage introducing himself to everyone as if they didn’t know or care who he is. Frankly, I can go without seeing that stupid bit for the rest of my life. It’s seriously one of the dumbest angles I’ve seen come across the WWE in a long time.
Sign, Sign, Everywhere A Sign

I’ve never attended a live Pro-Wrestling event. I would prefer to see it from the comfort of my own home and here is a couple of reasons why.
- The first reason is that I like the fact that you can see everything very well at home instead of getting stuck in some nosebleed seat. I don’t care how big the show screen is, everything is much more clear at home and close up.
- Other fans and their stupid signs. Sometimes the signs can be funny and entertaining. But if I’m sitting in the stands of worse, on floor seats and there is some fool in front of me with a signs that 4 feet wide I’m going to be upset. Not to mention that I don’t like stupid people and when you get that many people in one place, you’re bound to have at least one very close to you.
Kevin Nash’s Status In TNA

Rumor has it that Kevin Nash has already signed a new contract with TNA Wrestling, however any rumors of a resigning have been reported as false.
Jeff Wilen in his JAWbreaker segment at three8six.com, spoke to Kevin Nash on the phone yesterday afternoon. Nash told Wilen that his contract with TNA runs out on October 10th and that he had been in talk with Vince McMahon.
‘I talked to Vince (McMahon)," Nash said. ‘He offered me a contract, but he wanted me to dye my hair.’
Nash reiterated a TNA Wrestling schedule would be easier on him than a WWE schedule.
Nash had told other reporters in the past week that he wasn’t trying to rush any negotiations and that he had more to lose in the stock market right now than in a new contract.

ECW Recap 9/’30
October 1, 2008 by Scott Wharton
I was kind of in and out of last night’s ECW show. It seemed very boring and I was busy in a Skype meeting during the show too so that took some attention away from it. Anyway, here is last nights recap of wins and losses.
Jack Swagger wins over Lenny Lane via Tilt-A-Whirl Powerbomb.
Mike Knox beats Tommy Dreamer after Tommy charges Knox but misses and hits the ring post (You’d think they’d pad them by now, right?) and Knox finished the mathc with his reverse spinner STO.
The Miz, John Henry and John Morrison defeat Matt Hardy, Riocky Ortiz and Evan Bourne by Mark Henry’s "World’s Strongest Slam" on Evan Bourne.
That’s it. A whopping three matches. It’s kind of sad how much talking and how little wrestling goes on in an hour show these days. But that’s the things are now. More drama and less action.
Rick Flair Comments On His Decision To Leave The WWE

As we all know, Rick Flair "Retired" from wrestling in the WWE back in March, but still had some time left on his contract. Last month it was quite a shock when it was announced that The Nature Boy was leaving WWE. Not many people thought they would ever see Rick Flair in the WWE again…that was until the demise of WCW. It’s almost hard to believe it’s been 7 years since WCW went under. In an interview with Charlston.Net, Flair comments (see below) about his departure with the WWE and his new talent agent Elaine Gillespie, who is brand new to working in the world of Professional Wrestling.

IN the recent issue of WWE Magazine 25 Years Of Magazine Interviews Issue there were a lot of great interview quotes. I figured I’d post a few of them. Some of them are like "Say What??"
"Macho Man" Randy Savage: "I think women should be free to cook, clean the house, have babies-whatever. See, I’m not against women having rights." ~Randy Savage, on women’s equality, "Sounding Off…" WWE Magazine, December/January 2006/2007
Paul Heyman: "I would be much more at peace if it had been a mistake I had made that tanked the company. To watch someone lese kill what you lived for was something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy" ~Paul Heyman, Lamenting ECW’s demise, "The Little Promotion That Could": ECW Special Issue, 2005
The Big Show: "Everybody knows who I am, so I don’t use urinals much. There’s always some smartass with a camera phone who’s trying to take a picture of me pissing." ~Big Show, explaining the travails involved in being a larger-than-life public figure: "10 Things That Are Difficult For Big Show": WWE Magazine, August 2006
Edge: "I get off on that. The, to me, is as good as a sex celebration on the couch of Casa de Copeland. Being able to push buttons and have the audience do exactly what I want them to do like I’m their puppeteer. And fans don;t even realize it. That’s the beautiful part of it all." ~Edge, Discussing his ability to manipulate fans; "Suck That!" WWE Magazine, December 2006
