Monsters vs. Aliens: The Video Game will be released on March 24, 2009 and will be based on the Dreamworks movie of the same title which will be released three days later.
Like the film, the game features and incredible cast including the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, Rainn Wilson, Stephen Colbert and Kiefer Sutherland. I’m not sure it can get much better than that!
When aliens attack, your team of monsters have to fight back to save the world. There are a lot of pretty sweet moves you can use to accomplish this. As …read more
Xbox LIVE Arcade Game – “Watchmen: The End is Nigh”

The Watchmen film was released last Friday and it did reasonably well at the box-office. Now you can bring home the action by downloading Watchmen: The End Is Nigh from the Xbox LIVE arcade.
Players (you can play as either Rorscach or Nite Owl) must answer the call and save their city from crime, terror and Underboss, who has broken out of prison.
The action in this superhero-type game is undeniable as you can take on up to 20 enemies at a time using street-fighting moves. You can also engage in multiplayer, split-screen mode.
Here’s the trailer:

Xbox LIVE Game: 3-on-3 NHL Arcade

3 on 3 NHL Arcade was released last month and it’s been a real hit with gamers so far. The game offers a unique experience to players who love sports games but are interested in something a little less serious and structured – after all, the players have giant heads and the rink is tiny.
This Xbox LIVE Arcade features the NHL’s top players in a no-holds barred, no rules hockey game. The players can be giants, they can speed-skate (it’s kind of fun to play with bobble head versions of your favorite NHL stars) and use trick moves like spinning …read more
Xbox LIVE Arcade Game: Super Street Fighter II HD Remix

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix is what you would expect of a Street Fighter game but with the benefit of high-definition. It features “1080p HD redrawn art and widescreen support” which really helped to modernize this classic without losing of it’s old-school charm.
This Xbox LIVE Arcade game, which is rated T (Teen) due to violence, mild blood and suggestive themes is compatible with 1-2 offline players and 2 online.
You can’t really appreciate the HD technology with these but here are a couple screenshots:

Xbox LIVE Arcade Review: Worms

Worms is a strange little game but if you like strategy and war-type games, then you might enjoy it. It’s “cutesy” in the sense that the worms have little voices and say funny things but they do engage in genuine battle.
This Xbox LIVE Arcade game falls under the Strategy & Simulation category and is recommended to all gamers aged 10 and over mostly because of the mild cartoon violence (younger children might be completely fine with the game play). You can have between 1-4 players offline and 2-4 online.
Here are some screenshots, although, I found the game looked …read more
Xbox LIVE Arcade Review: Castle Crashers

It’s been out a while but I only got to try Castle Crashers last night for the first time and I’ve got to say that I really, really liked it. It’s silly and colorful and all of that but it’s actually a lot of fun. The controls are easy to learn from the beginning but as you unlock more moves, there are useful on-screen prompts providing instructions. Similarly, the enemies are challenging enough to be fun but not so overwhelming that you want to give up.

Xbox LIVE Arcade Game Review: Tron

If you grew up in the 80s, then you probably remember the movie Tron starring Jeff Bridges as a programmer abducted into a computer and forced to play gladiator-style games during his attempt to escape. I remember first seeing the game at an arcade when I was a kid. I was too young to play so I had to stand there and watch my brother and his friends have fun. I was thrilled, therefore, when I got the chance to enjoy a little old-school action.
I’m not going to lie. When I first downloaded and played this game, I …read more
Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week – “Braid”

Gold members can download Braid from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for just 800 points until March 1, 2009! That’s a savings of 33% so, if you’ve been wanting this game, this is the time to grab it!
This puzzle game allows players to alter time (this feature is actually what creates the puzzles). You can rewind, play in parallel realities, expand time and more. As a result, your character never dies or loses as you make your way through a series of worlds in search of puzzle pieces. Sounds trippy to me. Maybe I’ll download this one.

Xbox LIVE Arcade Review: The Maw

I had a chance to download The Maw in the Xbox LIVE Arcade today and Twisted Pixel game is a strange one.
You play as Frank, a cute little blue alien who, at the pinnacle of the alien revolution, finds himself on a planet dragging around his new pet, a purple blob named Maw. Frank can put Maw on a leash and, as they make their way through the planet in search of freedom (you start off at a crash site of some sort), Maw eats almost everything in sight.
The game is recommended for children ages 10 and up …read more
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned

Last week, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned became available for download on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. I won’t lie, I’m not a big fan of the GTA games but I know they win awards and are seriously popular so there must be something that I’m missing.
Anyway, you can engage in online multiplayer game play with 2-16 players and there’s some cool downloadable content (check out the GTA IV Marketplace page).
To download the game, you’ll need 1600 Microsoft points and 2 GB of free space. In the meantime, watch this cool “Weazel News Special Report” for the …read more
