Serious Sam Gets a Makeover

It’s nice to see classic games be given a new lease on life and that’s what’s happening to Serious Sam.
The old classic shooter has been given an HD face lift and will be available on XBox Live Arcade by late Summer.

I LOVE zombies. If I had thought about it at the time, when asked pirates or ninjas, I should have said zombies.
So, it warms my zombie loving heart to see that Konami is releasing Zombie Apocalypse for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network this summer.
Zombie Apocalypse tasks up to four players with killing [re-killing?] as many zombies as they can so that the world is saved from the brain-eating bad guys.

Mega Man 9 Screenshots! Serious This Time!

The hoax that birthed “the first Mega Man 9 screenshot” went over with the fandom like a poop sandwich, but it looks like the August issue of Nintendo Power has the first real screenshots. Kombo has the story and The Mega Man Network has the pretty pictures, though the latter’s slow because of a traffic kablooey.
Word already has it that this will be a PSN and Xbox Live Arcade download, though what’s definitely confirmed is Mega Man 9’s status as a WiiWare download. Zounds!

Squeenix To Stop Being A Douche About Downloadable Games?

Everyone was tres excited when they first heard about downloadable games for the Virtual Console, Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network. Now that the idea’s in full swing, the roar of approval has turned into more of a purr of half-contentment. We like the idea behind downloadable games and there are indeed some good ones to be had, but overall the pickings haven’t been all the awesome they can be.
