LeBron May Not Stay In Cleveland

Okay. So this isn’t that much of a surprise, really. LeBron “King” James hasn’t given a definitive answer about staying in Cleveland since he signed his three-year contract extension in 2006.
Basically, “mum” is the word. And it’s probably the word because LeBron doesn’t want to admit that he’s ready to move on — championship or not.
Cleveland may have signed Shaq in part to entice LeBron to stay with the team longer than he had planned. If the King’s recent statements regarding the situation are any indication, I don’t think Shaq is going to make much of an impact on his …read more
Indefinite Suspensions for Burress, Vick?

According to a Yahoo Sports article, Roger Goodell is likely to suspend Plaxico Burress and Michael Vick indefinitely. Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, has been strict in his short time and the helm and could reportedly make an example out of Burress and Vick.
An indefinite suspension for Burress and Vick would likely keep both players from participating in the 2009 NFL season. Although the move by Goodell would be somewhat surprising, it would align with his goal of cleaning up the league’s image.

Tim Floyd Resigns From USC

About a month ago, I wrote a post about USC’s Tim Floyd and how there were rumors circulating that he “bought” OJ Mayo. An investigation by the NCAA ensued and is still underway. Yet, Tim Floyd took matters into his own hands and recently resigned as head coach.
I know that you are innocent until proven guilty, but when you bow out like this it only makes everyone think that you are guilty. The Real Reason Lute Olson Retired

We interrupt these conference previews to bring you this special report.
The Associated Press is reporting today that the reason Arizona coach Lute Olson suddenly announced his retirement last week was because his doctors advised him to do so after Olson suffered a stoke in the last year.
