Young Republican entrepreneurs and business professionals prefer Ron Paul.
In Phoenix, Arizona, Ron Paul won the GOP vote for young professionals with 80% of the vote. That’s a pretty significant percentage. According to the website, “Paul opposes the war and most government spending. He wants to dismantle the Internal Revenue Service and what he calls America’s ‘empire’ abroad, including military bases and reducing foreign aid.”
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette finally looks up the word “entrepreneur” in the dictionary.
The basic idea of this article discusses Pittsburgh’s low startup rate. Maybe it is because it is one of the most dangerous cities in …read more
Identifying Your Audience – Part 5 – Ages 30-49

So I overlapped ages – well, who cares? Sometimes age groups can merge (or at least that’s what they want you to think!). An audience consisting of people from ages 30-49 are wanting to reach out to their inner youth while maintaining a good level of their maturity. What does this mean? Sell your product to this group if it is easy to use, potentially technologically advanced, and helps boost efficiency. Though being incredibly vague, that description can be easily expanded. For instance, if you were to sell an automatic, mountable organizing rack. …read more

A few weeks ago I made a post for Babylune’s Generous December (here’s the ICSF post I made). The Inner City Scholarship Fund just received $25 from Heidel and Associates, where Dr. Heidel says “As a businessman and psychiatrist I certainly agree that a high-quality, supportive education is a wonderful opportunity for all children,” Dr. Heidel said. “It prepares them for meaningful careers, including entrepreneurial pursuits. Helping children from poorer backgrounds become educated is truly good for them and our society.” To find out more, read Babylune’s post!
Okay, so I got real excited. I wrote the original article …read more
The Importance of Optimism

This is an incredibly short post, but I feel it necessary to express how much I absolutely love optimism. I think optimism is what drives people to stay on target. The whole “cruel, harsh world” is an outdated theme and can justly be replaced by a “big, open environment” perspective. You may say this is an obvious point, but let’s look at it like we’re creating our business. “Fighting your way to the top” isn’t a bad way to go, but I prefer to emphasize the part where you observe opportunities and maneuver into positions.
People aren’t out to destroy your …read more
The Belated Sunday Young Entrepreneur News

Sorry about the late Sunday-Monday news, everyone. I am studying for my finals, so I am getting a bit behind with what really matters – surfing the internet! This week has been pretty quiet, and I haven’t really stumbled upon much about young entrepreneurs. Either way, here’s your belated Sunday news:
HA! We beat onrec.com to the punch with this story (after we were beaten by another site). The only reason I am posting this article is because it has an image attached from the actual awards ceremony. The article didn’t even mention Oliver Bishop winning the award WITH Dan …read more
da fate of gud grammer

I fear the worst for the fate of our English language. It’s one thing if you make a spelling error – it is another if your whole language is comprised of abbreviations and misspellings. Will this eventually become acceptable?
I’ve been noticing that abbreviations and misspellings are becoming more and more prevalent throughout the younger community. It became mainstream when I was a teenager (I am currently 21, for those who don’t know), so I even grew up during this whole mess. Some of my friends aren’t even able to carry on a serious conversation (online) without …read more
Give Young Entrepreneurs a Future

The greatest gift I have ever been given was an education. If there is one piece of advice I could give to potential young entrepreneurs, it would be to get an education. The human mind is a fascinating piece of equipment. Everyone has the same potential to expand his/her mind to the same potential, but some aren’t given the opportunity. Thanks to Babylune’s Generous December Writing Project, there is an opportunity to give the future innovators a chance.
The idea is this – pick a charity you are passionate about, submit the article, and potentially win a donation to the charity. …read more
Attention Young Entrepreneurs: Your Holiday Mission
November 27, 2007 by Jim Gordon

I have a mission for you aspiring entrepreneurs. This mission is critical and I want everyone to participate.
You are all going to be shopping this holiday season – don’t lie. While you are out, find one item in each store you visit and critique its design. Come up with a better way of accomplishing its task. Difficult? Yes. Mind-bending? Yes. Insane? Maybe. It could even be an item on a website. I don’t care – as long as you come up with an improvement. I guess I’ll …read more
