Microsoft is never one to miss out on any new trend — though they’re usually the last ones to arrive at the party. ZDNet’s Mary-Jo Foley has received some insider intel that MS has an entire division secretly working on its own cell phone, code-named “Project Pink.” Pink is part of a new strategy to eventually phase out production of Microsoft’s own Zune device and rebrand Zune as “a set of subscription services that will move to mobile phones — including Pink.”

NVidia Tegra Processors are making it’s way to 50 gadgets, according to the graphics card leader. Leading this surge is Microsoft’s Zune HD who have already announced their high definition version of their Zune is using NVidia’s multi-core Tegra processor.

Are there really any portable media devices that can compete with Apple’s iPod line? Honestly, I have yet to hear any really great things about Microsoft’s Zune. The software has been for the most part the biggest problem with the product.
