April Showers Brings May Flowers

‘April showers bring May flowers.’ This is very true! I always remember being so excited to finally be rid of the snow for Spring starting to appear. The first thing you want to do is get rid of your boots and wear spring shoes, spring clothes and spring jackets. What I manage to forget every single year is the rain factor. I get way too excited about warm weather finally coming, that i forget we first have to get through the rain season. I also tell myself that this year will be different, and April won’t be so bad and there will not be a lot of rain, but there always is. It’s actually amazing how true this rhyme is because sure enough, every April, it rains a ton. But we can be thankful, it makes May more enjoyable to look forward to. We can see the sunshine on the other side – up ahead! So this t-shirt is to remind us that April is on it’s way. We have to prepare ourselves for the rain before we prepare ourselves for the sunshine. Good things come to those who wait.

I thought this t-shirt was adorable. I feel so sad for the little girl in the pink rain jacket. I will call her Jane. I feel so sad for Jane.  She just looks so helpless. That happens to me when the wind is blowing and all you want to do is be covered by your umbrella and keep dry, and the stupid wind just battles with you. It puts me in such a bad mood and I start cursing to the wind as if that would do something but it never seems to help. Instead, poor little Jane doesn’t seem to put up a fight and doesn’t really care. She just lets the rain simply poor down on her, umbrella or no umbrella, there’s nothing  she can do. I shall think of little Jane on our first downpour and hope I will look as delicate as she does.
