CTRL+C Threadless and CTRL+V New Company

Remember when Threadless was the only company out their that had its users design the tees?
And since then we’ve had quite a few similar companies pop up?
According to Cameesa (which is another one of these companies) they are “creating a new clothing culture.”
Maybe someone should send them a note and let them know that it has already been done.
But I still can’t resist a good shirt and uhh what Cameesa is offering is alright. Nothing mind blowing yet. But I’ll definitely give them some more time to impress me.
Please check them out and let me know what you think.

Talk about being damned with faint praise…
I quite liked this one though:

Heyo, this is Andy from Cameesa. Mike, I think you missed the main point of Cameesa: crowdfunding.
We are not a design contest; our users really have control over what is printed.
Threadless is a crowdsourcing pioneer, but to say we are a copy/paste is a bit off.
I agree with my namesake above Mike, out of all the t-shirt design competitions that have popped up over the past few years I’d say that Cameesa are one of the few to actually try and innovate within the industry.
Hey are we all called Andy in this thread? Awesome.
If you want Henry, I guess my comment didn’t make too much sense, it was lacking a comma, and I forgot to put my name in as Andrew (my actual name). Still, you are very welcome to the Andy moniker.
My name actually is Andy.
Well, I think we’ve managed to clear up that mess then!
Yep.

What is interesting about cameesa is that it allows you to buy sort of shares in the tees you want to get printed, as well as getting an actual t-shirt, so you get 3 cents from every copy of that tee that is sold. I was a bit concerned about what happened if you had shares (”parts”) in a design that didn’t get printed, but apparently you can move them to a different design.
