SnorgTees comes again with its $6 bucks Grab Bags with random defect-but-may-turns-cool T-shirt inside. If you’re feeling lucky today, here’s what you can expect:
Grab bag includes discontinued designs, misprints (limited edition prints!), shirts with a small hole (vintage worn look!), question mark shirts, and shirts with an errant spot on it (again, vintage worn look!). You choose the size, and we send you a random shirt from the grab bag in that size. See pictures for examples (image above, something wrong with the print). Due to their limited nature, Grab Bag shirts may not be returned or exchanged.
Is that worth your $6 bucks? Well, you decide. More detail from SnorgTees

At $6, it still almost certainly costs more than they paid for it! I would never sell misprinted t-shirts for any price, much less even give them away! Even worse would be a t-shirt with a hole already in it… whatever, it’s just another reason for me to dislike Snorg!
It’s clearly an attempt to turn their junk into cash. With that being said, there are consumers that will dig a shirt with a weathered-looking screenprint, or a hole. There are also consumers that are miserly and will dig this lower price.
At $6, they will likely be making a buck or so.
For me, the problem is that you don’t know what kind of shirt you’re getting. I suppose there are consumers that will like that sort of mystery and surprise.
When I start my t-shirt site, I will certainly have such irregular stock, and when I do, I’ll probably donate it to Goodwill and take the tax writeoff.
I work at Snorg and was just forwarded this link. The grab bag is actually really popular with our own friends (they always go through them when they come by), and once we have enough of them, we open it up to everyone. We get a lot of repeat grab bag buyers.
Some examples: our printer messed up the “Pluto” design by reversing the blues. We can’t ship them out at full price since it’s not what is up on the site, but it looks kinda cool (though reversing the colors makes the planet look kinda like a brain). Those are all in the grab bag. And there was a tiny mess up in one of the updog print runs around Christmas where the screens were a bit off so the colors are not flush. Most people will barely notice the error, but we were not going to send those out at full price. Those are in the grab bag. There are a some shirts with very tiny holes in them. But most of them are very small. If it’s really bad, we get rid of them. We also sometimes end up with a few blanks in a color we do not print on (supplier screws up). So we print one of our designs on them and put those in the grab bag. Just a sampling of what you might get. It’s kind of like an outlet store for Snorg shirts.
Of course if you don’t want to order them, then don’t! Oh, and $5.95, after credit card fees, is not making us money on these (keep in mind they are printed on American Apparel). It’s for fun and because we have people ask for them. Last time they sold out in a couple of days. We have more this time due to a few orders listed above, so they might last a week in some sizes…
