Any Foundation To AC Milan Sale?

Is there any foundational evidence to the recent rumours that AC Milan is selling 40% of it’s club to Abu Dhabi United. If true, the deal could be worth $797.4 million, if untrue it could just be a bizarre rumour. I find it hard to believe however that this could be a rumour. I mean rumours don’t usually have such specific information. AC Milan denies any such buy-out.
With the recent withdrawal of funds from AIG for Manchester United many are wondering who else will follow the lead of cutting corporate corners. In these trying economic times the sports are the first to get cut. So why don’t the pro leagues cut corners of their own? For starters, paying soccer players less. Let’s be honest, these guys make way too much money. If clubs are truly hurting than all of the clubs need to get together and agree to a percentage lowered economic value for each player.
With so many families being put out of their homes it would seem only fair that the soccer players agree to help the fans that have supported them.
