Young Russian soccer star Andrei Arshavin is urging his club (Zenit St. Petersburg) to let him go play with Arsenal.
Arshavin has already tried to negotiate moves to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Tottenham unsuccessfully over the summer. The club has been negotiating a sell of about $25 million but for Arshavin, he believes they are asking too much for him. Willing to settle for at least $16.6 million, Arshavin is prepared to take any price.
Makes you wonder if they are mistreating Arshavin or something. I mean why is he so eager to leave his home-country

there is element of mistreatment there, but Zenit have the right the ask for more if they value the player at that price. Lets not forget the crazy market thats going on at the moment thanks to Man City, people are paying crazy sums at the moment.
I just dont feel comfortable to get players who cry to get released from a club, what goes around comes around. It reminds me of Reyes, Anelka, Bellamy, Diarra, Hleb…. all of them dont seem to setlle in any club and will always find an excuse to want to move on. So I wonder if we get ashavin, will he start to winj in a years time if some other club bids for him.
Presumably so he can play at a higher level than the Russian League?
I believe so 2. I believe that they are just toying with him dangling hope for another club and then taking it away. Zenit has money alot of it and they dont really need the extra money for Arshavin. Most likely the communists wont let him leave. They own his evry being.
young? He’s 27…
This guyz shld jst let arshavin. His mind his already nt in dia team anymore, i imagine wat they want him to play if he stayz.
this transfer is almost identical to the EU and Russia gas face off i hope arsenal wins
I guess wenger isn’t serious! Why won’t he take this chance to strengthen his squard especially now that the other big clubs aren’t making moves. Arshavin will be a success! Yes i would bet with my last penny.
