The Footie
Jyle Dupuis

Jyle Dupuis

Jyle (pronounced ji-y’all) is a man of many passions. He enjoys spending time at home with his family, raising his guppies, following his favourite soccer teams (Montreal Impact, team France & England and the FC Girondins de Bordeaux), working on his car when it breaks down, watching the History Channel, and going on photography walks. Interestingly enough he is probably one of the last people in Canada to be educated in a true one-room schoolhouse, as he grew up in rural Quebec. Coming from a large Quebecoise family (11) there wasn’t much money left over for general repairs, so at a young age Jyle learned to fix anything and everything. From the water pipes to electrical to motorcycle/auto mechanics. One of the best moments in Jyle’s adolescence was when he successfully replaced the engine on his father’s Mercedes-Benz 300D in a makeshift garage.

Defending French League Champions, the Bordeaux Girondines make playing soccer look easy. After wining the title last season and wipping the floor with Montreal over the summer the Girondines have been working hard to stay on the top of the France Ligue 1. After slipping there for a while they finally made it back out on top after defeating Nancy in a surprising victory of 3-0. Yeah their uniforms look like the old sailor suites buy they play like it’s nobody’s business. Hopefully they will be able to keep up their momentum and win another victory for the people of Bordeaux. Image: TSN.ca [Read more]
